A little gem in the heart of the town. What a wonderful hotel so full of history and character and so well preserved. The family who run it are wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful. The breakfasts were amazing and we felt thoroughly spoilt! The pool although small was so refreshing in the heat of the day, and the courtyard a lovely place to relax amongst the pretty flowers and plants. The restaurant next door is very good, the service excellent. We would love to go back there should we visit Crete again. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

I really enojyed the location of this establishment and the decoration. The people working there are also extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were not able to sleep. While the bed was comfortable, there was no sound isolation. We could hear partygoers until 4am as if we were sleeping on the street. I would recommend this place to anyone who actually wants to go party until late in the night, but not to people who want to enjoy a calm stay.

The hotel is very clean and in the center of Rethymno. You gonna go Everywhere by foot. All the staff was very helpful and polite. Make sure you check out the hotel restaurant as well!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Filion, and I must say it exceeded all our expectations! This hotel is truly a gem, especially for families looking for a relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking views. The surroundings are stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for a peaceful vacation. We enjoyed every moment spent on the balcony, soaking in the picturesque scenery. The food at Hotel Filion was fantastic. Each meal was a delightful experience, featuring a variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was clear that the chefs take great pride in their work. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, making us feel right at home. A tidy and well-maintained space is always appreciated, and the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job. Lastly, the hospitality we received from the staff was outstanding. They were friendly, helpful, and always available to assist us with a smile. Their warmth really added to our overall experience. All in all, our stay at Hotel Filion was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our time there, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an ideal family-friendly hotel. We can't wait to return!

Having stayed here I couldn’t understand how this hotel possibly has a score of 4.6 following my experience there so before I continue let me make the following statements because that rating was part of what persuaded me to stay. Read the reviews very carefully especially all those 5* ones. This is a genuine review from a genuine “customer” who stayed at the hotel from 10-20 August Many of the so called 5* reviews below are actually fake reviews by the hotel from either staff or submitted from fake “empty” profiles - go have a look and you’ll see. The hotel is also trying very hard to have negative reviews removed. My co-travellers have experienced this and successfully appealed against their genuine and truthful reviews being removed. I guess it’s a numbers game. Flood Google or trip advisor with as many “positive” reviews, genuine or otherwise, and appeal any negative reviews then over time the score rises. Anyway on to the review. I stayed at “Filion Suites Resort and Spa, five star” 10-20 August 2024. My family and I could not have been more disappointed. Some of the “highlights” you may wish to avoid are below, and attached photos. Long story short to call this 5* is complete misrepresentation it’s no more than 3* and that’s being kind. The food is disgraceful. One buffet for the entire hotel, no other choice of restaurant. The food quality is very poor and the selections are very repetitive. Much of the food was tasteless. It’s like the staff have given up, don’t care, and aren’t even trying anymore. Several meals my kids refused to eat, so much for all inclusive. The drinks are all cheap non branded. Wine is like drinking vinegar. You can’t even get dog T drinks like coke or sprite. Just a “cola like” drink. The soft drinks are flavoured sugars mixed with soda water. It’s all been done on the cheap. The rooms are old and dilapidated, lots of mould and peeling paint. See pictures. The shower head was broken. The “sofa bed” that one of my children had was so uncomfortable he didn’t have a good nights sleep. The maids complained that they were not given enough sheets or towels by the management, on one occasion we were offered one towel to share between 3 people. The pool bar has one person serving so you often have to wait a while for drinks. There was little or no entertainment in the evening. Couple of nights we had a “live band” which played automatically the classic Greek songs. Very little to do The beach is a 30 min walk or a bus ride from the hotel. The hotel has a shuttle service with a minibus that holds 9 people but it’s usually full. The hotel's private beach is a joke with barely any space between sunbeds and it’s tiny. The spa - yes the spa. This place sells itself as a five star spa resort. When I was there the jacuzzi was empty with no water. The steam room was shut. There was one person available for a massage which I had and it was very amateur, not sure how much training they have. The entire hotel is very run down and in need of complete renovation. I have stayed in worse places but they weren’t trying to sell themselves as “5*” and the price represented that. This is completely overpriced and if you’re expecting five star you will be very disappointed.

Very disappointed by the stay overvall. I don’t see how this hotel is a 5 stars. The food was very disappointing, we only ate there 3 times during our stay, but it was the same food at every meal, no variety whatsoever, and the food was very bland and the fruits and veggies were not fresh at all, even the bread was moldy ! The bar only use cola liquor and other juice liquors, so if you want a soda, you’ll have to settle for a disgusting sweet cola liquor mixed with water. The staff usually hangout down the corridors, so you can forget about sleeping in and napping in peace, because you’ll be woken up by their laughter! Absolutely not recommend !!

We had a lovely stay here! Staff was friendly, room service offered daily. The room was very convenient to the pool & mini golf. They also have pet cats at the resort & they're so cute! Close enough to night life & the beach, especially if you rent a car. Can't wait to go back!

Nice resort. Rooms clean and ‘functional’. Service very good indeed. Food ok. Rodies and the Citrus bar was really nice. Lower pool quieter. Breakfast buffet pretty decent. Evening ‘entertainment’ in the main restaurant a bit rubbish. We ate at restaurant 1930 in Hersonissos which was very tasty and also Orion.

Honeymoon lesson, don't choose a resort. Or just not this one. On my first full day I was blinded by the soap from the shower. They provided no washcloths so you bath with your hands. Instead of the soap dispenser putting soap in my hand it shot straight into my eye making me temporarily blind for hours until I drove into town for eye drops. We had an issue on the 2nd day where our electric kettle we use for coffee was heating up sink water and we saw the container foaming up to 1cm above the waterline. We opened to smell pool chemicals. We made our review immediately because that is an issue. Then our trip was immediately sidetracked because management had been reached out to by the owners about the complaint. They met with me only to gaslight me with their side of the situation essentially saying that I was wrong and the water is fine. They showed me water testing reports all to distract me. Documents can be altered and falsified. They told me they have no chlorine, but then their water levels did have chlorine it's just at the "safe levels." The very next day they replaced our kettle and we tried to make coffee and it seems they decided to stop putting in chlorine because now the water smelled of hydrogen sulfide and again bubbled up in the new kettle. My takeaway is their water is safe to drink unless you use it for coffee. By safe I mean you won't die, you will probably have to use the toilet more often than you should. Normally their water has traces of hydrogen sulfide but they use chlorine to balance it. They just don't know how to balance it correctly because their water should be safe enough to make coffee with. They had me change my original review of 1 star including a statement that I hoped they wouldn't kill me. They didn't, but only because I complained and they decided to provide us with water bottles instead of let us use tap. Crete is full of places that offer clean tap water, no excuse why this place lied to me about the quality of theirs. Plumbing is also an issue where they don't have signs for not flushing toilet paper, so tourist will naturally flush making their plumbing really hard to have enough pressure to flush. Your bathroom will reek of poop/pee if used. We chose this place for the fact that it's higher up, quiet and away like a retreat. Having issues with the unit is not the greatest as we don't tend to use the resort for it's amenities. We signed up for a cooking class that also forces you to take part in a wine tasting(33€ for food, 17€ for the wine tasting). I told them from the beginning that I didn't want any alcohol and only wanted juice, water or soda. So they decided to single me out and provide me and only me with their non-alcoholic wines to taste(essentially grape juice). There were multiple children in the class that were also charged for the wine tasting and only received water or lemonade. None of the other children got offered the grape juice. Literally the worst experience ever. The manager that met with me about the water contamination was brought over as soon as they heard our room was in the class. They said hi to me and only me and tried to also single me out on the alcohol by providing local sodas. It was a nice gesture, but I asked for Juice(orange), water or soda(coke). They just wanted to give me enough options so that they had an excuse for why they charged me $17 for the wine tasting. This resort is great for families, and if you choose to never leave. They want your money. Locals even tell us the resorts only care about getting your money which we definitely felt. If you are looking for a place for your honeymoon, there are plenty of better areas to stay that take better care of you. Better off spending a lot less for a stay a little less modern in my opinion.

Awesome resort! I only gave 4 stars on location because it’s not on the beach, however being on a mountain provides exceptional views, shuttles run to the beach and town daily and only 5 and 15 minutes away. The pool is fabulous, staff are amazing and food is exquisite. This may be my new vacation spot to replace St. Maarten as the Greeks are much more accommodating than the French……just saying from experience…..

We came here as part of a family vacation plan. The personnel are super friendly and helpful. Since it’s a really big terrain, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to people with limited mobility. To go to the restaurants there is no barrier free. / food was really good. / I recommend to rent a car if the desire to visit other places to Crete, since the hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere. / it’s a more family hotel, pool is always noisy and full of kids / don’t expect a good equipped gym. It was actually sad, unorganized and obsolete

We had an amazing trip at this hotel. The staff were so accommodating, the pools were well maintained as well as the rooms. Good facilities and a really short walk to a local town with lovely restaurants. Unfortunately some of the other guests were not as pleasant, but well managed by the hotel. My son had his first holiday here and he’s already asking to go back. Thank you!

My first impression of the hotel was negative, mostly due to the reviews I read on Booking. We arrived in the morning, but check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM. We decided to change clothes in the public restroom to go to the beach before check-in, and I was upset by the unpleasant smell and condition of the restroom. At that moment, I wondered how the hotel could have 5 stars. However, my opinion changed as soon as we checked into our room. The room was clean and cleaned daily. The buffet at the restaurant was excellent, especially the meat, which was the best we had in Greece. The sea is just a few steps from the hotel, the water is clean, and the beach is not crowded. The staff was polite, responsible, and professional. In my opinion, the hotel deserves its 8.2 rating, but I would give it a 9. The only drawbacks are the lack of drinking water in the rooms and possibly coffee. Overall, it’s a solid 9 out of 10, and I recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you to the staff who work tirelessly to make our stay comfortable and carefree. You are the best!

I’m not really a resort person but this place is decent. The beach is nice and right next to hotel. Very big rooms with balconies and beds are comfy. Only drawback is the constant bass/music/karaoke if you’re in a room over the sea side / lobby…

Great hotel in Sitia! Amazing stay! Located within 5 minutes of the lovely beachfront of sitia. Very clean, amazing food and what is more important lovely staff. From the receptionist and cleaners to the amazing gentlemen who closed the pool everyday, they all made us feel welcomed and made an effort to make our kid smile. If you want a great experience I would recommend it 100%. Thanks for such a lovely experience

This is a wonderful resort with wonderful staff. The rooms are nice and clean and air conditioned. It seems to be a french resert as most of the staff speak french and the activities are in french 🇫🇷. Great if you speak french but we were a little lost. The all inclusive option includes unlimited food and drinks from 7am-11pm. The food was very well cooked and the drinks including rhe alcoholic drinks were nicer than most. If you are the type of holiday maker that likes to sit by the pool without a care in the world this is it. However I like to to visit areas of interest and interesting destinations. Unfortunately the location of this resort lets it down as it is on the eastern side of the island and quite far from most tourist destinations even with a rental car I felt a bit trapped as there are many suggested destinations to visit but most are only accessible with an off road vehicle.

Please do not believe any poor reviews. This resort is a quiet resort in a great location. Receptionists and managers were lovely. Room was lovely and cleaned every day by a lovely housekeeping team. All staff were so helpful and so nice. The food selection at all meal times was excellent. The resort is kept to a very high standard and cleanliness is also a very high standard. I would highly recommend this resort especially for families they have a variety of pools and a kids club!

Great resort, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean to a good standard. We chose the all-inclusive package and there was a good choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner to suit all tastes. The restaurant had ample seating area indoors and plenty of tables outside, which was a popular choice. Drinks within the all-inclusive package included beer, wine, and a choice of five alcohol cocktails and two non. Various swimming pools around the resort and a childrens pool with various slides. Wheelchair access was available with a ramped entrance and lift within the main building. Ideal for couples and families. There was a very short walk to the sea front, albeit being rocky. Great place to catch a good sunset photo. Would I go back again? Yes, definitely

The view was great from our room, with decent furnisher more boutique then modern. The housekeeper Lady was great with being flexible with our personal schedule making our trip more stress free and enjoyable. Definitely recommend this place to relax and blow some steam.

My family and I stayed at Vasia Resort and Spa in July for 7 nights, and unfortunately, it did not live up to its 5-star claim. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a receptionist who was notably rude, setting a negative tone for our stay. The food was a major disappointment: The menu seemed to consist mainly of heavy, winter-style dishes like stews, which were neither appealing nor appropriate for the warm summer weather. We were surprised and frustrated that there were no options for grilled fish or seafood, despite being in Greece, a country renowned for its fresh seafood. The lack of variety and the absence of lighter, seasonally appropriate meals made dining at the resort a monotonous and unsatisfying experience. The rooms were outdated, with old furniture and visible plumbing pipes from the spa visible from our balcony. The cleanliness was also an issue. We encountered cockroaches on three separate occasions in our room. The first time we reported it, we were assured the room would be sprayed, but two days later, another large cockroach appeared. Despite our repeated complaints, the response from the staff was minimal, and the issue was never properly addressed. After all our complaints about the cockroach problem, we received no compensation or effective resolution from the hotel. The lack of response was particularly distressing, as it was traumatizing to have to sleep in the same room after encountering cockroaches. We expected better treatment and more consideration given the severity of the issue. The disregard for our concerns significantly impacted our stay and left us feeling unsettled throughout our visit Additionally, ants and mosquitos were everywhere due to doors being left open frequently. On the day of our departure, we woke up at 2 a.m. for our 3:30 a.m. transfer and found yet another cockroach in our room. Despite assurances from reception that the room had been sprayed that day, the issue persisted. When we complained, the reception dismissed it as normal due to the warm island climate. However, having stayed in destinations like Cancun, the Maldives, and the Dominican Republic, where cockroaches were never an issue, this response felt inadequate and dismissive of our concerns. The water park was also concerning. Several tiles were broken, creating a significant safety hazard, especially for children. Plus, there was no lifeguard. We were also charged €10 per day for air conditioning, but the system was kept off during meals and other times, which made the heat unbearable. Overall, the experience at Vasia Resort and Spa was far from the luxury we anticipated, and I would not recommend this resort based on our stay.

Would never come back here! I never like to put bad reviews as a business owner I feel you should help businesses not bring them down. However, I feel that strongly about how bad this hotel is that it’s ruined what was supposed to be a nice holiday with my girlfriend. The food is the only positive about this hotel, that was amazing. I love Greece and would definitely recommend Crete. This hotel is pretty far out of the way, but I wasn’t even bothered about that. The staff are all pretty much rude, the reception staff in particular, and definitely not helpful at all. You have to book your room to be cleaned when ever you want it cleaning. Same if you want clean towels. The alcohol, I know it’s the kind of hotel that don’t want you smashed which is fair enough but the alcohol they do serve is either watered down or 0% So unbeknown to myself this holiday was a detox. I guess that’s a positive😂 The electric kept going off in our room and nothing was done, and when we asked for a late check despite rooms being available they said no! If you want a shower before you leave for the airport you have to book a slot which again no one told us about so when we asked about that there was no slots available. As I said I never leave bad reviews but honestly this hotel has not given me a good holiday at all so would definitely not recommend it.

First of all I want to say thank you to all the staff who made our stay do relaxing and fulfilling. I booked this hotel as a roll of the dice as I had seen some negative reviews, but what I found when I got here was most of those reviews are dumbfounded from people that may have been a little grumpy or needed a nap. The hotel itself is situated in a remote location in a valley, but that being said it has 4 pools, 2 bars and 2 places to eat, the all inclusive is brilliant with the food always tasting amazing. The pools at the bottom are mainly for families so if you are traveling with a partner like myself I would highly recommend the top pool. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to a nearby beach with is around 5 mins away, with sun beds and a beach bar nearby, although this is not included in the price. If you want a relaxing, romantic time take the idea of a normal all inclusive resort out of your head as this offers you everything that you need to feel fulfilled and happy.

We spent 10 days in September 2023 in this hotel and we highly recommend it. We were with family, with a 5-year-old girl who loved this place. The area of ​​this club is immense, surrounded by nature in a very calm and peaceful place. The park is very well maintained, like everything else. They have a very respectful approach to ecology, because you book on an application what you need in terms of service (towels, cleaning your room, etc.) The staff is pleasant, professional and discreet. On the catering side, there is obviously what is needed to satisfy a "continental" clientele, but we were also able to find tasty local recipes at each meal. Special mention to Vlada and Nancy who manage the shops and reservations at the SPA, it is rare these days to find salespeople who advise you without pushing you to consume. The SPA is magnificent and the massages are real beneficial massages, not done with the fingertips. We are going back this year for 12 days!

Just landed at Bristol from 7 nights at this hotel. If your looking to play Bingo, kids club and party dance this isn't the resort for you; however, if your looking to experience a 5* relaxing holiday with authentic Greek entertainment watching the sunset, this is the place to go. The views from sunrise to sunset are good enough to snap and frame. Food is great quality, something different every meal. Shuttle bus to the beach is a must do, the beach bar is top class and even provide sun lounger service which is free to resort guests. Take the trip into the old town... its like another version of Verona, Italy... absolutely stunning, so much to do, shop, eat, drinks etc. The beach is fabulous, water sports are worth experiencing too. Jet ski hire ranges from 50-70euro, water UFO's 20 euro and a lot more. Take the Sunset cruise on the pirate ship!!! Every day offers something different if you plan it, however relaxing days at the resort, dipping in and out of the pools is worth taking too. If you don't like walking or struggle with inclines, then I wouldn't recommend, but golf buggies are available for you to be chauffeured if needed. Definitely a romantic couple / friendship holiday, I think young families would struggle with no kids club etc if that's what you look for. Highly recommend for a romantic get away or a perfect break away from every day life. Thank you to all the staff, they literally cannot do enough for you to make your stay as memorable as you want it to be.

This is the perfect place to come and relax! We have had an amazing time and the staff have made our stay perfect. The staff were kind enough to upgrade our room on arrival to a room with a pool and it made our stay even more relaxing. The staff do whatever they can to ensure your stay is the best it can be. There are services to go into the town and the beach via the hotel who arrange this so it’s easy enough to travel and get a taxi etc if you wish to go out for the day. We would certainly come back here to have a relaxing holiday and really switch off 🇬🇷

The rooms were great! They are modern and kept clean. The service of the staff was very good. And the location was pretty good, its only a 10 minute walk to old town were all the little shops are located. The Piazza Di Porto restaurant was very good and I do recommend trying that place. I do not recommend eating at the dinner buffet. We did not have a good experience with it. I had some rice that was not cooked and was hard, my wife tried their fried sardines but those still had bones in them. The buffet was the worse and most expensive meal we had for our entire trip. Also, as a heads up, they have an all-inclusive package but you need to read carefully because not everything is included in that package.

We had a very pleasant stay and got a very very nice room. We couldn't have wished for a better room. On arrival we were introduced to our room facilities like how to adjust the aircondition and the welcome bottle of wine. That was a very warm welcome. Also I would like to applause you for the rules that you have noted for the pool area. Addressing the challenge from people that place towels and disappear for hours. I love the fact that you try to challenge this issue, even though it's a tough battle - Kudos for that. - Those who did reserve and disappear, got a little note placed on the bed. Any one in the staff will meet you with a smile and a greeting. Thank you for a very nice stay.

such high prices for drinks, the room clearly doesn't get cleaned properly, air con stopped working which made it extremely hot in the room and a guy had to come and fix it and got told last minute to leave the room even tho I paid for the day and I didn't even feel welcomed in the hotel and we checked in late at night and didn't get any food or water do not recommended been to way better 5 star hotels this should be a 3 star instead and to add the manager took us to the wrong bus stop that our coach was coming to luckily we realized and went to the right place. This place is a joke sort it out I can't give u less then 1 star so I'll give u 1

We booked a "Mythica" room which, according to their website: "All rooms have been recently renovated and offer a direct sea view. Their luxurious bathrooms are built from Greek marble and include a bathtub or a walk-in shower." The first room we were put in had a toilet in the shower and no marble to be found. The second was a bit better, but it was certainly not renovated. The seals round the bath were cracked and mouldy, and as the screen by the shower end was only c.60cm, water poured onto the floor whilst showing, hence the mouldy seals. The accommodation manager's reaction to the complaint about the lack of renovation was that it is impossible to do all the rooms in one go! OK, I understand that, but don't then lie on your website claiming ALL rooms! The catering, on the other hand, exceeded expectations. Mythica all-inclusive allows one to take lunch and dinner every day in the a la carte restaurant. The food was of an exceptional standard. The only downside was the busy road from where the exhaust fumes sometimes were unpleasant, especially if a coach stopped to drop off or collect holidaymakers. We only ate dinner in the main restaurant on arrival and were confronted with a bizarre dress code, which allows women to walk around on non existent sandals and in a mini skirt and top showing all, but my husband wearing his new leather Birkenstock's and knee length linen shorts was made to go and change! Fortunately, the à la carte has no dress code as it is open to the public. The 2 lifts are a total disaster. Not a day passed that 1 was not working and the wait for the other very long. Most of the staff were efficient and friendly, however the way that the restaurant manager corrected staff in public was unacceptable. For example instead of asking the young trainee how are you going to serve the sauce and then subtely correct her beforehand, he let her do it and made her look like a fool because it wasn't as he expected it. The atmosphere was ruined when he was in attendance. The location of the hotel close to the old town and food are excellent, but the rooms and corridors are tired and dated, thus nowhere near 5*.

This hotel was nice. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent, the breakfast was good, and it had plenty of things to do. One drawback, however, was that the pools close at 6pm…which is really early if you are out and about throughout the day and want to enjoy a nice dip in the pool to relax afterwards. The hotel also had some hidden fees. Laundry is insanely expensive and the hotel website made it seem like this was included. Also, it was really loud at night one night but I’m unsure if that’s due to the hotel or a local concert.

I recently stayed at this fantastic hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with any request. My room was well-appointed and very comfortable, making my stay extremely pleasant. The breakfast selection was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious foods. I particularly enjoyed the Turkish delight in Reception, and the sample of ouzo in the room was a delightful added bonus. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Wow amazing hotel! I enjoyed every second I was there! From the wonderful food at breakfast, by the pool and in the restaurant at dinner. Continues to the fun pool which is open from eight in the morning to eight in the evening, very convenient hours. Continues by saying that the hotel is sparkling clean and beautifully and elegantly designed. The location is very good, quite close to the airport, walking distance from the city center and the archaeological museum. Driving distance is not far from Knossos. I marked four stars on the rooms because they are really a bit small, but that is really the only drawback because the rooms are beautiful, clean and well equipped. If it was possible, I would give four and a half stars to the rooms, because I really enjoyed the room. There is a facility for hanging clothes to dry on the balcony, there is a chair, an armchair and a pedestal in the room, which is very convenient. There is an innovative coffee machine with delicious capsules, there is a refrigerator, there are bathrobes and slippers, there is a hair comb, there is a magnifying mirror for make-up. It is evident that there is attention to detail to make the guests as comfortable as possible. What takes the hotel to the highest level is the wonderful service of the staff. Flawless English, patience, head growth, agility and all with a smile and kindness. I felt that in everything I could turn to eavesdropping and I would receive the best service. This is the case throughout the hotel complex, and especially at the reception. I thank the hotel for the pleasant and wonderful stay and hope to return there soon

Was recommended for us to stay here, but won't be going back. Breakfast was reasonable, but they started removing it all 2 minutes after we sat down, 30 mins before it was due to close! Not happy Jan!! Rooms are OK But we had 2 single beds pushed together?? Balcony view of roof tops, great pizza place across road, small pizza is 48cm diameter & base/toppings tasty.

This was my first time in Heraklion. I stayed in this hotel for 11 days. My stay was very pleasant, the staff was extremely cordial, attentive and nice. Everyone was extremely helpful. The only issue I had was the smell of the towels, whatever vendor they use to wash the linens and towels, they need to change it. As the towels had a musty smell that was really awful. The staff changed my towels daily but no matter how many times they changed them, the smell was there. Other than that my stay was great. I would def come back.

Stayed for 2 nights. We had a family room, which was quite nice and spacious with an extra bed, seating area and with a bathtub. The breakfast was nice but not very expansive. It has a really nice pool, but there are limited seating and sun beds. Would stay at this hotel again.

Very unfriendly staff. We were here by mistake on behalf of the other hotel. They promised 5* hotel, with nice rooms. All we got was old room, with a small window, smelly bathroom, spring foldable bed. Our 2,5 yo couldn't get any sleep because of the clubbing near our room till early morning hours (I'm talking 6-7 am). Receptionists didn't even care to listen to our problem. Somewhat nice location and good food, but overall experience is awfull. If I ever win a stay at this hotel, I would give it away, but showing the person this review first.

It was the most bad experience for my holiday, we reserved a room with garden view and they get us a small room who smell very bad, with water in the room a very dirty! The food is very cheap, the same and very poor like diversity. The staff very unfriendly and very arrogant.

2 stars may be overly positive. This only reflects this hotel. Our experience in Crete and other places were 100 times better than here. Photo shows a junior suite. It is totally different to, and less nice than what you see when you book. View is nice. Location is nice although next to a power station or some heavy industrial plant. Worst thing is the service - reception, pool and day restaurant at the pool are unfriendly. Cleaning staff and porter were polite and nice. Maybe they could work in reception? Paid for half board. We went to a restaurant and were told we have to book with Reception, so we called but we can't book any restaurants because "the booking guy wasn't there". Next time we walked to reception and were told "everything is booked and should come earlier". All we could eat was a pathetic buffet which is no better than a mining camp in a third world country. Pools close at 5pm for slides and 6pm for other pools. And then the staff close 15 minutes early most of the time. Sun goes down after 8pm. In our top 5 worst value for money hotels ever

Be warned, this is not a nice hotel. It’s not classy in any way. I stayed here with my mom and brother for 10 nights and we were very disappointed. - The factory right next to the hotel smells very bad and I’m sure that the fumes are extremely unhealthy, making this place a very bad choice for anybody coming here for relaxation and a health boost that usually comes from sea and sun. It was even impossible to have the door to the balcony open in the room because it would smell of gasoline immediately, which is how those fumes smell. - Most days we couldn’t really swim in the sea, it’s not a nice beach and very often it was too wavy and windy for a nice swim. It’s also quite hard to get into the seawater because of the rocks. Not what we expected at all. And by the pool it was extremely loud from the animation. The best day was Sunday because that’s when they are on break and it’s finally peaceful. The beach is also not a private beach, so there might be salesmen trying to sell their wares, which can be disruptive. - I was initially interested by the proximity the hotel has to the wetlands, but it wasn’t really possible to explore them. - The food was a real letdown at first too, until we started understanding what to pick from the buffet. Some things are quite nice. I’ve never eaten so many fries in my life, but the fries were always a safe bet here. The dinner hall was very loud and gave the feeling and impression of a cafetaria. Not what one expects of a five star hotel at all. - The room was cleaned every day and yet my dust allergies were acting up. I couldn’t understand why, until on one of the last days my nectarine rolled under my brother’s bed and I reached for it to get it back. I saw that it was extremely dusty under there! Oh my god, I’ve never seen so much dust in a hotel. The cleaning lady was only cleaning in the visible areas. - The air conditioner was old, potentially dirty, and not keeping the room consistently cool. Two nights it even broke down totally. - The hotel employs amateur photographers, one of which doesn’t have a background in photography at all, not sure about the other one. They are instructed to talk to everyone and persuade them into getting photo shoots. It’s marketed as “free” but then they ask for exorbitant fees per photo after the photo shoot is done. The crazy part is not just the fact that you only get informed about the price afterwards, but that these so called photographers only do point and shoot photography and don’t have any technical abilities. Honestly I don’t think that this is what you would find in a classy hotel. I felt extremely disappointed and disrespected. On my vacation, I would like to just relax, and not be bothered by scammy salesmen. And maybe a photoshoot can be nice indeed to save some memories, but please just be transparent about it. And employ actual photographers if you’re going to ask that much money. - Very often we had to remind the staff to refill our soap, paper towels, etc. They initially only gave two cups for water, even though we said there would be three of us staying here. It really doesn’t give the feeling that they care that much. - There was so much noise in the evenings from the animation of the neighbouring hotel. That was very disruptive. - All of us slept bad while staying here. The beds were very uncomfortable. My mom and me slept on the double bed, which has hard mattresses resting on concrete beds, without a slatted base. My brother has a fold-out bed and that was somehow even worse. We all thought that this was a total fail and a waste of our money and time but we still tried to make the best of our vacation. The best times we had was when we went on trips far from the hotel. Edit: Thank you for actually reacting to my review, instead of just copy pasting like you did with other reviews. I was supposed to tell you of my dust allergy so that you would let your staff do the bare minimum of cleaning, like they do in all other hotels I’ve ever been to? Sounds like I was supposed to do a lot of work to just get a bare minimum.

Unfortunately, our experience at the hotel spa was very disappointing. We had booked facials and body scrubs for three people. When making the reservation, the staff member and manager of Spa assured us that we could use the spa amenities for the rest of our stay. However, upon arrival, we were denied access to these amenities, and the staff reneged on their promise. The treatment room was too cold, and there were no blankets available for us. After the treatments, we were sent to a shower area without doors, where I ended up being seen naked by a gentleman using the sauna. Overall, this experience was far below our expectations, and we were very disappointed with the service and facilities.

Amazing service, food and drink Room didn't have kettle, and wasn't really up to normal spec you'd expect in an advertised 4star plus. Not wheelchair friendly as was told by jet2. But the staff made up for everything and helped my disabled mother into a golf cart and took her anywhere she wanted. Nothing near by really. Up hill a shop and restaurant but a bit of a walk

We had a great holiday at the Annabelle Village. The Kids loved going to the hippo-club every day with its friendly, funny and encouraging team as well as to the mini disco in the evening - and our kids don't accept all miniclubs. The hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere, good building arrangement and nice pools. The beach (let's call it large grains of sand to tiny round rocks) is very nice and large enough; you can snorkel in the bay. There are some rocks, but also a part (to he right) where you enter the Water over soft sand. For sensitive feet / fearful swimmers, swim-shoes would be a good idea. Next door you can rent jetskis. The variety of food could have been a bit more interesting and there are some parts that could use maintenance (broken sun-chairs, pool toilet doors) or look a little half-way-fixed. But overall it a great place for spending your holidays.

The rooms are very basic food in the evening is quite bland and they only open one of the two restaurants the waiter at the pool bar on the back side of the hotel. I believe his name is Dimitri is very miserable. Never give you enough ice and goes off quite often leaving the bar unattended this is the pool with a swim up bar, however evening the other bar to the rear hotel overlooking the beach I can’t praise bartender enough brilliant English very polite very professional I feel is wasted in this hotel would be far better suited in the superior five star. The rooms are very basic we were family of 4 the sheets had holes in each day they were changed. however the negatives were having to pay £5 a week per towel hire for the beach . no air-conditioning reception and limited air-conditioning in the restaurants leaving it quite unpleasant in August to sit and enjoy a meal overall I’d rate it 3 star hotel

The location is wonderful, and the rooms are big and clean, although some updates could be done and the towels are a little worn. The beds are comfy, and the pillows are too. We didn't starve, but food was basic. We've had better, all-inclusive. Service resetting the tables was sometimes slow, and there was no cutlery to be found. The beach is right there, very shallow, which is good for children. Overall, it's a nice hotel, it's quiet, which was just how we like it.

Overall, a great hotel. We booked a room for one week as a couple. The room was big and clean with a great view of the beach. The staff is friendly. The only critique is the breakfast, which was only mediocre, especially the artificial orange juice that comes out of a dispenser. Nevertheless, we can't say anything else about the food since we only booked with breakfast. The location is great. There are many good restaurants and bars nearby. The beach is clean, and the hotel is well-maintained. We recommend staying here and will probably return someday.

We had an awesome time at Iolida Beach Hotel. The staff was incredible, especially the lady from housekeeping who kept our rooms spotless. Shoutout to Robert, Strados, and George—they went above and beyond to serve us, just like the rest of the staff. Twenty minutes before I arrived, I asked if they could provide me with an iron, and when we entered the room, it was already there, so the reception was very helpful. The pool was clean, the restaurant was tidy, and the food was delicious and different every day. We especially loved the gyros on Saturday. They had a wide variety of options, including pork, chicken, beef, turkey, fish, seafood, octopus, sushi, noodles, Greek, Italian, Spanish, and more. We highly recommend this hotel. Big thanks to everyone who made our stay amazing!

It was our first time in this hotel and it was a positive experience overall. I found the room was well located within the premises although was facing a bit of a busy road so wasn’t as quiet as I was hoping but in general was a good room with all the facilities for a comfortable stay. Cleaning was perfect and every when the shower head was broken they replaced it quite immediately. Regarding staff, reception staff was very helpful, polite and professional. Restaurant staff, big shout out to George and a lovely small lady that unfortunately didn’t get the name which greeted us always with a smile during meal times. At the bar a big thumbs up to Stratos. Fantastic service provided as well. Food wise, it could be better. Selection was good but the food quality wasn’t great all the time which for a good restaurant is something of a must have! Pools weren’t too crowded which is great but rules weren’t applied as much… when there’s a sign, “shower before getting in the pool”, “no diving”, “no games in the water”, but rarely saw anyone being asked to comply. Better not to have the signs up. I’m rating the experience as 5-star as I felt welcomed and overall I’m happy with the service. Last note, probably the worst stretch of beach of all those hotels in the area, but worst doesn’t mean it is bad as it was still a great place to have a swim.

We had a very relaxing and tranquil stay at Castello Boutique. We stayed in one of the suites with sea view and infinity pool which are amazing, we enjoyed watching the sunset and sunrise from our balcony. The staff were very welcoming, Aphrodite and Christina on reception were particularly helpful. Good breakfast spread and clean facilities. Recommend going early for breakfast if you like hot/warm food. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants only 5 mins walk away. There is a lot of building works within the vicinity but this didn’t affect our stay in any way. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the gym is inadequate for a 5 star facility. Needs air con and better variety of equipment. Also the air con on our floor stopped working one night and the heat was unbearable to sleep. The night porter really tried to help but moving room at 3am wasn’t ideal.

We had an amazing stay at the Castello Boutique Hotel and it's fair to say they saved our holiday. We had originally booked a 7 night hotel stay around 20 mins away in Koutouloufari but had such a bad experience with staff and the room that we checked out after only one night. We looked online and found the Castello Boutique and drove over to see if they had an availability. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating - showing us the room that was available before booking us in for 6 nights. The room was fantastic - really clean with a super comfortable bed and with the bonus of a hot tub! Facilities at the hotel were outstanding - a fantastic spa with a lovely indoor pool and gym and beautiful outdoor pool area. The breakfast buffet was great - a great selection of hot & cold options and number of traditional local favourites too. The evening a la carte menu was also outstanding - brilliant traditional food with a modern twist and brilliant value. However, it was the staff who made this such a great stay. Every member of the staff throughout the entire hotel were not only professional but also incredibly welcoming and friendly and more than happy to go above and beyond to help. It was a true pleasure to stay here and we can't recommend it highly enough!

We spent a week in Serita Beach Hotel, it was an amazing experience. The rooms are nice, room service daily (new towels, bed sheets, the is floor cleaned). We had rooms with a view to the sea, it was beautiful. The beach is stony and you need special shoes to swim in the sea, but it was very nice - the water was very warm! You have to be prepared for salty water everywhere: in the pool and in the tap. It’s not very good for your skin, especially with skin allergies (after a week my skin was fairly irritated). The food is nice, there is a variety for each meal and the menu changes, so everyone will find something. Drinks in the bars (pool bar and lobby bar) are weak, but not bad. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Definitely see the little town nearby: Analipsi. I recommend Serita with all my heart :))

We spent most of the time around the pools because the beach is not really usable (stones, rocks etc) that's the only less positive thing about this place. Overall 5 star experience.

Slightly old fashioned hotel, but clean and has some great staff. Not 5 star, cocktails are local spirits with some reasonable mixes others really not palatable. Fruit juice mixers are from draught soda dispensers so tend to be very samey. For some reason only one set of public toilets for all the pools meaning they soon get grubby, again one set of public toilets in main hotel building which seems odd.

It's a great place for families with kids. They have nice animators, friendly with kids, who organized shows and disco entertaining for little ones. They also have nice activities for everyone around the pool. Good food, with multiple options to choose. Great pool and beautiful view to the see. Room cleaning every day. Greetings and appreciation for all the staff who work hard and are very hospitable. Inside hotel you can find car rental service which is best option if you want to discover the island. Free sunbeds on the beach with umbrella.

Very nice location directly on a sandy beach. Hotel rooms are OK, the staff is mostly super friendly. Breakfast is above average with a big selection of cereals in addition to the usual bread, fruit and warm/egg selection. The juices were 3-star standard though, nothing freshly squeezed. Dinner buffet was OK, desserts were nice, the main dishes mostly good. Child club was great, with the ladies taking great care of the kids. Main downside though: this is a very smoker-friendly (and non- smoker unfriendly) hotel, without any outdoor smoke- free places. Even the kids disco was in a semi-outdoor bar where people were smoking. Waiters were a bit too pushy when trying to sell wine.

Terrible WiFi. The only place you could use it was in the main lobby and even there the connection wasn't perfect. The pool was full of chemicals and hurt your face and eyes after 10 minutes. Otherwise it was amazing and beautiful. The beach was nice and the room was comfortable. Would go there again.

Have stayed at Alexander Beach Hotel on two separate occasions. Each time we have found the staff friendly and helpful. The food options amazing. The buffet breakfast offers enormous variety of both hot and cold dishes. There us also a variety of restaurants snd bars on site if you do not wish to leave the complex. With 4 outdoor pools and the beach a few steps away there are plenty of options for swimming and sunbathing. Would recommend and definitely plan to return.

The staff at the hotel are very welcoming and particularly kind and understanding of families with kids. Positives - Very cool pool for the little babies and kids with a playing room and absolutely great care-taking girls who entertain and play with kids. Great views, tolerable distance from the airport, generally good rooms and room service. Most of the staff (particularly waiters and waitresses) are very friendly and keen to help - thank you. Nice lounge area, shop with essentials in the hotel and good restaurants/bars. The beach is ok and with enough sun beds for everyone. Negatives - too expensive and this is not a 5-start hotel, I am sorry. For us and for several other families that we connected to, this was a surprise. The value for money does not match expectations in many aspects and therefore, it is going to be a harsh review. Food/drinks - Although, cooked alright, very modest choice of dishes. In general, quite mediocre. The nearby restaurants may be a good option to consider and those are expensive too. The full-board - does not make sense at all. A coffee machine and couple of juices available only for the breakfast. The rest of the time, you must be ready to shell out. Bottle of still water 3.60 - and if you don't want, the staff would take the glasses away from the table. A glass-full of lemonade 4 euros? Cappuccino over 4 euros? That's is ridiculous considering the overall price of staying at this place. For the family hotel, there are too less shadows. I think umbrellas could have been bigger in the pool area and especially on the beach. Guests have to turn their creativity with towels to protect themselves from the sun. Accessibility also not the greatest if you are with a stroller. We found only one long route for ourselves without stairs from the rooms to the beach. The downhill from the pool area to the beach - is a little too extreme and there is nowhere to park a stroller other than keeping it under the burning sun. During our stay, we did not notice much service on the beach either serving or cleaning. Charging your guests 2 euros to play a game of pool - cmon. I think 2 euros could be easily raised by any guest, of course. But charging couple of euros extra for the basic things - leaves a bad taste. Dress code - sorry, this is an absolute joke. Nevertheless, thanks to the staff who could understand and tolerate our frustration as apparently a very stubborn management does not have a clue what they are imposing. Basically, all men should wear long trousers. If it happens that you have only shorts with you, they will kindly provide a grandpa-style flared blue trousers. In general, this is not a glamorous or posh place, therefore given that the guests are visibly free in their garderobe choice, forcing trousers is foolish. This was the most irritating part of the vacation, wearing what I don't like, what does not fit my style and appear in that on public so that I can enter the dining area. Thanks for the service, we had still had a good time, but we cannot agree with the previous ratings.

The hotel definitely doesn't look like a 5-star hotel. The room – nice at first glance. The bathroom could use a complete renovation. The rooms could use a thorough cleaning (there was a significant mess under the bed and in the corners), the air conditioning worked, but sometimes it had a mind of its own. The terrace door couldn't be properly locked. However, the room looked nice. The restaurant – excellent, great food, and there's something for everyone (meats, salads, fish, pasta, desserts, fruits, and just about everything you can think of). Every evening, the dinner was in a different style (Italian, Cretan, Mexican, etc.). The staff was very pleasant, and the restaurant was clean. The pool – although they take care of the pool and clean it every evening, unfortunately, the pool was slightly cloudy the entire time, and the edges of the pool could also use a cleaning. (Maybe better pool chemicals or better filtration should be used). But overall, the pool and its surroundings were very nice and pleasant. There was a bar and an afternoon restaurant by the pool. The bar offered a wide selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and they were very good – prepared by a skilled bartender. The hotel is located right by the beach. The beach was sandy and clean, with the option to use the hotel’s sun loungers and umbrellas for free. The sea in this area is very clean. Despite the fact that the hotel could use a bit of renovation or repairs, I highly recommend it, and these shortcomings are definitely balanced out by the excellent staff, location, and delicious cuisine. And you don't have to worry about getting bored at the hotel. Practically all day, from morning until night, there was some program organized in different parts of the hotel by the talented animators – beach volleyball, ping pong, guessing songs, pool exercises, etc.

Booked my stay as I thought it was a 5 star hotel but it wasn’t (advertised as a 5 star). Room smelled a bit like sewage and the entire place is a little run down. The neighboring hotels looked much better. Nonetheless we made the best of it and enjoyed our time with the all inclusive amenity.

My family and I enjoyed immensely our holidays in Bella Beach Hotel! We had a spacious family room with view to the sea with comfortable beds and balcony from where we could gaze at the wonderful sunset. Mrs. Elena, the cleaning lady, did a great job cleaning our room every day. Meals were just great, this was probably the best food experience we ever had at a hotel restaurant so far! I also visited the spa and booked a massage with a young therapist there, which was really relaxing and rejuvenating. I totally recommend it! My daughter spent much of her time participating in the activities of the animation team at the pool and at the beach and had a great time with the other children there! This is the perfect hotel for family holidays by the beach: safe, easy going, hospitable, with the most dedicated, helpful and smiley personnel you will come across ever!

The Hotel is not looking like a 5 stars hotel. The gardening is poor, bricks covering the walls are broken , it is an all included but lot of drinks are charged , very poor entertainment for children’s , no air condition in the public places like in the resultant. No water bottles given in the rooms and access to water is only in the restaurants . It is the 1st hotel world wide which is charging 3 euros per day for the safe inside the room!!!

We are family with 2 young children 4,7 This place is outstanding. The resort is very authentic, greek style.. The room is lovely, and very clean. Stuff are cleaning the rooms and the area at all given time No problem with towels. Stuff are nice and helpful. Dinner is changing every night and has lots of . options. Even a section for gluten free , everyone can find something to eat.and it is above my expectations. Right outside of the resort there's a supermarket which is convenient. Also lots of restaurants, tavernas and caffe. To go to the beach you need to register a day before for a free shuttle which goes only once to the beach and back in the evening. We took a taxi to a different beach in the area. It is absolutely value for money and recommended.

We stayed 11 nights at Esperides. We really liked everything there and the hotel itself is absolutely great. The different levels of buildings makes it very unique and you feel like in a small village rather than a massive hotel complex. We enjoyed half board and liked the different variety of food. The rooms are spotless and cosy. The hot tub was also clean and relaxing. I would like to highlight the friendly staff and how they also care about their guests. We wanted to change the room for some reason and they even offered us an upgrade! We are very satisfied with our stay . Thanks to the whole team! We can highly recommend the Hotel. The village around the hotel is stunning and it offers more than 30 restaurants with authentic Greek food. I recommend renting a car to explore Crete and to stay flexible. Free car parking is available.

The staff is always attentive to everything surrounding people staying at the hotel, asking if everything is OK or just greeting you. They have different themed dinners every night, which is commendable because of the variety. If you can get a room with a private jacuzzi, do it, it is worth it as the view is sublime. The rooms are fairly priced and come with two meals a day The location is convenient as you can look for activities to do that aren’t too far off (if you don’t have transportation, there is a rental place by the entrance of the hotel). Wow. This 5star resort is just unbelievable great. There is so many good things to say about esperides but I'll stick to the main bits. If the negative reviews put you off I'd say reconsider as I couldn't find any think negative about this resort. The location is great right next to the restaurants and night life of koutaloufari. When we arrived Dimitrez on the main gate was welcoming and happy, he took us to reception on a golf buggy. Infact every single member of staff was brilliant, they're always happy and chatty. Our room was a nice size with a safe, fridge,hair dryer, tea making facilities, and so on. Both pools serve drinks and food. The adult pool was nice. The resort was immaculate and clean. The evening entertainment was good, the man making cocktails 🍸 was a pro at his job, it was mesmerising just watching him make them. Angelos and chantel were very nice and good at there jobs. The restaurant has themed nights every night with all different types of food which is to a high standard. I would throughly recommend this resort. We will definitely return. My only little gripe was the room 409 ,in the morning the linen gets delivered at 6.30am, and it's wheeled on trolleys at that time everyday so that woke me up every day, the cleaning ladies were also located nearby and were chatting quite loudly at this early time of the morning. Other than that it was all perfect 👌.

We really enjoyed our holidays at the Sunshine Crete Beach Hotel. We have stayed in a semi-separate apartment out of the main building. It was clean and quiet. We asked for a sea-view room but we could barely see the sea as it was mostly hidden by other buildings which was not so big issue at the end as we did not spend much time in the room anyway. The catering was also great in the main restaurant and at the beach bar. The overall atmosphere was perfect, mostly thanks to the animation team. They took care of the children as well as of adults during the day and evening. There was always something to do and it was always fun. Amongst others stretching and aqua aerobics in the morning, water polo and some competition in the afternoon, and a mini-disco for kids with another competition or karaoke and a disco in the evening. Go, animators, go!

The staff is wonderful and always smiling, and the rooms on the ground floor with a garden are a paradise for children. the highest praise for the pirates animation team, our twins enjoyed their time. An amazing two weeks at this wonderful hotel. Everything was excellent - the room, food, staff. They welcomed us at 4am and were so kind and helpful, it was a great start after a long journey with young children. The hotel is just lovely, with so many facilities. Everything for kids was perfect and the food was delicious with plenty of choice. Even if you don’t have children, there’s plenty to enjoy. Could not recommend enough.

This is not a 5 star hotel, really dated, rooms require urgent refurbishment. Staff was okay but definetly not 5 star hotel experience. Food was okay but again they are far far away from 5 star, drinks are limited and cheap alcohols. We mostly enjoyed the clean sea and it was beatiful but we would no come back to stay at this hotel again. They are not up to standard to be 5 star hotel maximum 3 star.

Sea Beach Hotel was absolutely amazing! I've spent a lovely time here. It feels very private and calm; thanks to the palm trees and flower bushes everywhere you may always find a place to lay down and feel like there is no one near you. Bungalow was spacious and clean, with private sunbeds and a beautiful view. What is amazing is that the hotel is separated from the sea only by a small street - you do not need to wear shoes if you want to go straight from your room. Beach is clean and nice, as well as the sea (quite shallow until a certain point which is so nice). Food at the main restaurant was delicious - so many options, hard to say what was the best! I fell in love with desserts though :) What should be mentioned in here, is the staff. They are the best and create such a great atmosphere! Restaurant staff is helpful, but not overbearing. Two restaurant Managers are super sweet, the way they great you always make your day better! Reception staff is so polite as well, and cleaning ladies that are doing such a good job! But the greatest recognition goes to Eva from a snack bar (for the most delicious snacks and the sweetest smile ever!), a bartender in a pool bar (for making the best personalized drinks and having such a great memory - he is awesome!) and Nestor taking care of the beach area (for being the best photographer ever!! :). I could not imagine a better place to stay in Greece - I will come back for sure!

The hotel/resort is very kid friendly with lot of activities for them to get engaged and has been designed at a lovely place very close to the sea beach where you can relax and enjoy. Our room was lovely, quiet and great views. 4 stars instead of 5 because there was only one lift and it was always busy. The staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive. 4 stars instead of 5 because the checking in procedure was atrocious. The queue was long and it took forever to be checked in. The location is beautiful. Again 4 stars instead of 5 because the transfer from the airport took so long. Winding roads and multiple drop offs before we got to the hotel...no wonder someone on our bus was travel sick. The restaurant booking system is ridiculous. We were there a week and were only able to book one lunch in one of the restaurants. Everything else was booked already

Booked an all-inclusive holiday at this resort. However, we arrived late after our flight was delayed, it was after 11pm. The reception said that there is no restaurant open at this hour but if you want to eat there is a restaurant that is open where we will have to pay. This restaurant was within the resort. We were all hungry. So we ordered a burger, spaghetti and a couple of chips and soft drinks. The bill came to 69 Euros. The next day, we found that at every service counter, there was only one person serving. It didn't matter how busy that counter or bar got. I have given four stars for the room we were in as it was a villa and was quite spacious. However, other guests complained about their rooms, they said they were small with a bed that was so high that they had to climb on it... The resort is out in the sticks, and you can not go out unless you hire a car, and for a small car, I paid 80 Seuros for a day. The food tasted the same every day, even when the menu was changed. Breakfast had the best menu. All in all, the service was diabolical for Radisson Blu. We have stayed in a couple of these before, and they were excellent.

I'm writing to express my deep disappointment with our recent stay at your hotel. We initially booked a suite, but were given a subpar room that in no way matched our expectations. When we requested a room change, it took days to accommodate us, and the replacement room had issues of its own, namely mold and a malfunctioning air conditioning system. Only after 4-5 days were we moved to a room resembling what we originally booked. This is simply not the standard we expected when booking. The dining experience was another letdown. The food at the buffet was not up to par, and the fact that the restaurants were constantly fully booked left us with no other dining options. It's frustrating to have such limited choices, especially at a hotel that presents itself as a 5-star establishment. From my perspective, the hotel rating feels closer to a 2 or 3 star, rather than the advertised 5 star. Frankly, we feel like our money was wasted on this experience. It was noticeable too that there were always guests lined up at reception with their own complaints, which doesn't speak well of the overall guest satisfaction. I hope you take these points into consideration for future guests. The experience, as it stands, leaves a lot to be desired.

Beautiful hotel, had such a relaxing week here. Buffet has such great choice, plenty of variety and tastes good. Staff are all friendly and helpful, they could just do with keeping on top of clearing dining tables after people have finished eating. Our cleaner was so lovely, our room was always clean and comfortable. Good working air con, loved the all inclusive cocktails. Beautiful turquoise sea, enjoyed swimming with the fish. Nice hour walk into the nearest small town Sisi. Agree with others that some things are starting to look a bit tired - some things like the sun loungers could do with an upgrade.

This hotel has no business calling itself a 5 star. I splurged for the “gold executive sea view” suite because I wanted something special. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. You can see the “sea view” photo attached. You can also see the living room part of the suite - hardly 5 star. This hotel utterly fails to deliver a 5-star experience. Despite branding itself as a beach hotel, on my calculation there is a sun lounger for 25% of the guests. This lead to a bizarre practice where guests had to get up as early as 7:30am to reserve sun beds. On my first day I got up at 8:45 and got the last one (the worst one, furthest from the sea or pool). The practice is to get up early, throw a towel on a sun lounger and go back to bed. Despite signs saying that reserving sun loungers is prohibited, this is not enforced, leading to a constant parade of guests left wanting. That was far from the only problem. The TV in the room didn’t work. When I went to call reception the phone didn’t work. It later started working but then nobody answered. There was no iron in the room and when we asked for one our request was refused. The standard of housekeeping was inconsistent. See photo of shower taken after the room was “cleaned”. On one occasion no toilet paper was left in the room. Upon checking out we figured out the phone worked. We were 6 minutes late and this promoted a call from reception. It seems the phone can be used when the hotel want to talk to you, but when you call nobody answers. And when we were leaving at 11:11 a staff had arrived down the room to remind us that check out was at 11. Unfortunately, this hotel was a total disappointment. It may strictly speaking satisfy the criteria for 5 stars, but it doesn't even come close. On the plus side the buffet lunch was good, and the staff in the spa were absolutely lovely.

Lovely hotel, we are truly happy that we chose this place as our holiday destination. Spent here 7 days - all-in-clusive. But here are three things that were not as good: 1. Sun beds- I get that hotel cannot make sure that everyone gets a sun bed by pool or beach but it is ridiculous that even early in the morning all of the sun beds are “reserved” by people who just put their towels on sun beds and are not even there. I noticed that some people leave their belongings and there is no one for hours. So it doesn’t give a chance to relax for people who would really use them. I appreciate that hotel staff have put warnings that people shouldn’t do it but it doesn’t stop anyone. In the warning it was said that hotel staff will remove belongings on the sun beds but as week passed, no belongings were removed. 2. Every time, not once but about every time servers asked “what do you want for a drink” when you have been sitting at the table for more than 20 minutes and have already finished everything. We understand that there might be too many people or staff is missing but there were about 20 people for 4 servers and none of them came to us. But in last two days this problem did not occur. 3. Hotel staff is really polite but sometimes pushy, so it doesn’t let you relax for 100%, for example, we got asked if we want to go to spa every day after breakfast/lunch/dinner even though we always said that it is not something we are interested in even though I am sure that the experience would be amazing. These are just tree small things, other than that I would recommend this hotel, great location, good food and drinks, modern and clean rooms, nice staff, good wifi connection, good air conditioning which is really important in summer. I would definitely come back. I would say average hotel guests were 30+ years old. Not many kids but I guess it is because hotel doesn’t have any kids attractions like smaller pools or water slides.

It is very hard to be positively surprise by a Hotel, but this one really exceeded our expectations. We went with our 9month baby and we just have good things to say. From the staff, specially from the buffet restaurant, always ready to help us bring things for the baby. Also the chef was amazing preparing special food for our baby every night we spent there. I can’t express how fantastic this location is. Currently still at the resort and sadly have to leave tomorrow! The good - The app that you receive sign onto it you can do so much with it within the resort. Order drinks and food to your loungers at the beach (this part was sometimes hit or miss) Booking reservations at restaurants and spa treatments speaking with front desk see menus gets a massive thumbs up for convenience! The service is well above expectations all staff that you encounter are so friendly! The room is clean and well kept and the house keepers are so kind. The beach is so clean and they take fantastic care of you at the beach bar. The ocean is the perfect temperature. There is some seaweed in the bay but that is only on the shore line which is to be expected. Easily the nicest and warmest ocean area I have managed to be near! All three restaurants are fantastic and worth having a look at eating at. The reception staff were very kind at check in and kindly booked rental car and airport transfers. A few negatives but we’re not a deal breaker more just information. Airplanes fly over once in a while but it really is no bother! You can’t hear them in your room at night. Couple of maintenance issues that weren’t resolved but not major and didn’t affect the stay one bit. Personal preference for when I do come back and I definitely will The spa suite with private heated pool and sea view. The sea view is restricted as it’s set back and has buildings to the left and right. I would stay at the waterfront with private pool when I come next time. All in all a fantastic experience with fantastic staff! Thank you all for your kindness!

This luxury five-star hotel has a sophisticated decoration and features whitewashed rooms. The common areas are beautifully adorned with trees and bougainvillea flowers, which I loved. My bungalow was spacious and beautifully decorated with a comfortable double bed, a sitting area, TV and with a large bathtub. I could see that they really thought about every single detail. It also had an amazing private pool with lounge chairs, a cabana and an outside table with chairs where I loved spending some quiet time. Both restaurants serve great food and nice ambiance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the evening, they have live music and it’s so nice to see people getting together and having fun. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful hotels in Crete!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Grecotel! Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite, and it exceeded all our expectations. The room was simply fantastic—spacious, beautifully designed, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The extra room in the suite was a game-changer, giving us a comfortable space to relax while our baby was sleeping. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setup. The facilities at the hotel were equally impressive. This hotel is a true gem! Suitable for all generations - a lot of activities for families with children, as well as lovely options for couples including nice dining spots and cocktails. The beach is large with plenty of sunbeds, great service at the Beach bar as well. Attention to details is absolutely amazing - especially when it comes to Housekeeping and room cleaning. Beautiful towel decoration and fresh flowers. The location is just 10 minutes away from Rethymno old town with plenty of shops and restaurants. The staff is very polite and always happy to assist. Lovely service, great space, beautiful view. The beach/sea isn’t the nicest for Greek standards but it’s still quite lovely. It’s deep so not ideal with toddlers/ young kids. I would have loved some traditional Cretan food options in one of the restaurants and a few more options for food at the beach. The staff were delightful and rooms were kept very clean throughout our stay.

Staff and food are excellent. Hotel is clean and beautiful. Rooms are good but there are little ants in the room. The other negative point is that neither the outdoor restaurant nor the indoor spaces are air conditioned. You are all in sweat while dining. For half board package you should pay for all drinks even for water. No daily water in the room. The beach is rocky, you need shoes to enter the water. There are free little lunch and snacks for kids. No music around the pool. 2 slides and a small pool for kids. Showers available around the pool and the beach. Towels freely available. Mini market inside the hotel.

Me and my family love this hotel. It is probably the best family vacation we have had so far. It is a little pricey, but it's totally worth it. The food is delicious and the location is excellent! If anything, I'll probably recommend improving the kids pool area. Other than that, everything was great.

Great place for a family holiday. I would recommend getting a room with a pool patio otherwise you may struggle for a sun lounger. The food is great, the service is excellent and the hotel is aesthetically pleasing. It’s also a great place if you like cats! The only negative is not being a beachfront resort but having said that, the five minute walk to the beach is quite pleasant.

TLDR: The hotel is nice overall, but the noise is just too much and the food is disappointing. What made our stay less than ideal is mostly the noise. From our room we could hear a lot of noise from the pool all day, and in the evening there was a disco or show every night till 11pm which kept us up (luckily the kid managed to fall asleep). Considering this is a family hotel, I was surprised at how late the noise is. The food at the restaurants is eatable, but nothing more. There were a handful of things I could say I liked. Other than that, the hotel is quite nice. Some rooms are a but outdated, but they're still comfortable and clear, and the beds are very comfortable. The water park is awesome, and is really the main reason to come to this hotel.

Nowhere near a 5* hotel. Our room was a family suite which was nice, but we heard some rooms weren’t- we felt bad for rooms located closer to the disco and main pool as it was very noisy at night. The pools were great, but the drinks were awful (non branded soft drinks that taste like soda water), courtesy facilities on checkout were abysmal and the service from reception was absolutely terrible. We had an issue with items being disposed of from our room by the maid which was handled very badly by the management. The surrounding area also isn’t particularly pleasant.

Rooms a bit on the small size but didn't mind that too much. Service and friendly staff everywhere. Great food. There are plenty of pool options, and the slides are great. Would like to see more activities for kids. It seems they focus on little kids, and there's nothing for the 8 to 12 years old... The gym didn't have an aircon, was extremely hot, and was not comfortable to train.

Great place, several swimming pools and bars. Very pleasant service that looks for the best solution for the customers. The only thing we don't like is the food in the main restaurant prepared for one group of customers... British. Maybe because 90% of the visitors are British😅 Nevertheless, I recommend it🤗🫡 The resort itself is beautiful, but what's behind it looks like a third world. The beach is 3 minutes from the resort. The best food you can get from 12:00 to 18:00. there was a stand with gyros, pizza, pommes, and burgers. Really good🤤 What is also important that the ride from the airport to the hotel takes about 15 minutes.

Me and my girlfriend just got done visiting the Aquila Beach Hotel. Overall we had a fantastic stay. The food was amazing, the facilities are so nice and the rooms are excellent and clean. I would 100% recommend it to anyone but there is a few things I would watch out for. We were half board so this only applies if you’re staying half board but the main restaurant is free for breakfast and dinner and you can go to the Italian restaurant on site for 1 night when you feel like a change. That is your only options don’t be fooled into the themed nights that are at the Taverna restaurant by the big pool as we found out. These are paid for which is fine but we weren’t told that we went to the restaurant, we had a meal and then found out at the end of our trip on the bill it was an additional €20 per head. We were happy to pay it as it was a lovely evening but was very annoyed that this hadn’t been told to us and also the concierge at reception said to us well even if you weren’t told we’d have a signed receipt in the back for it which he then failed to produce after we asked him to show it to us. If you didn’t know this and decided to eat there 3 or 4 nights out the week you could easily end up with a €150+ bill on your room charge when you leave. Additionally the drinks are expensive I would limit drinks out to a minimum, roughly around €7.00 a beer and €10.00 a glass of wine. There is a shop onsite or even outside the hotel where if you want to get soft drinks and things you can during the day outside the hotel is much cheaper though. Other than that fantastic holiday and highly recommend the Italian at the hotel it was super.

Beautiful location.Hotel excellent.service excellent. Tea coffee making facility in room but after milk cartons pots used none replaced. Paying half board we paid for our drinks which were expensive so we bought water alcohol in the bars outside of hotel. Not being tight but just out of principle.i would not pay treble the price for drinks. The entertainment could have been better but we all have different tastes. The hotel was spotless.all staff working extremely hard and polite. The food was amazing.lots to choose from. We booked the 4x4 safari excursion and was not disappointed.amazing.tour guide was very informative and funny .stopped off at beach for swim then meal and as much wine as we wanted.well worth the money.also stopped many times during tour around south island.we swapped seats half way around to give others chance for more comfy seats. Beach was amazing at back of hotel.be careful of strong waves .lifeguards there all day to look after weak swimmers. Bring your swimming shoes as sand grit is very hot and not flat. Had a amazing time on holiday and would reccomend Hotel.

Spa has a jacuzzi, a sauna, steam room and salt room, very nicely decorated. Also indoor pool but feels very cold. Rooms are large and comfortable with a fridge, walk in shower and a complimentary half bottle of wine and water. The fitted furnishings look old and in need of a face lift. Beach bar is very nice, service is usually slow at all bars(they do all inclusive). Food is buffet style with lots of choice, nothing spectacular though. Booked sea view which was a view of the terrace with part sea and had the usual holiday loud music until 1130pm so no sleep before then. Not enough seats. Unable to get deck chairs at the nice pool on most days and very limited on old pools. Drinks are very expensive, Service is hit and miss. Had to ask 3 times over 2 days to get the kettle replaced. Location The local area is mostly hotels and mini markets. The 500 metre beach is grey sand with very nice blue water. 15 minutes to the old town for shopping and eateries by the harbour. 1 hour direct car transfer to airport.

Horrible experience, Sold as 5 star hotel. Wouldn't give it 2. Rooms are great, beach amazing. None of the food was even remotely close to good. Nothing. Half cooked, dirty dishes and standing in the 30 degrees sun. Snack bars offers snacks that are either dry, uncooked or plain flavorless. This hotel is run by French groups that take over the 30 sunbeds. After staying in the Stella Palace before. This is not 5 star. Not even 1. Take your money to some place else!!!!!

Horrible hotel, it doesn’t deserve even 1 star. Poor customer service, no attention to details. The rooms look different than on pictures. We complained about the sofa bed (which was very small and uncomfortable) as we booked a room for 3 adults with 3 beds. All we got was a horrible sofa bed, and according to the housekeeping manager which had a very passive aggressive attitude “that is their design philosophy”. We immediately cancelled our booking and went to another hotel. Very unpleasant, dirty rooms, AC doesn’t work well, when you shower all the water comes out. Horrible quality of shampoo and bathroom products. Disgusting toilet brush. The bus that takes guests to/from the beach is always full and dirty. Never coming back again and encouraging people not to make the mistake to book at this hotel.

Fabulous staff, very friendly restaurant and bar tenders. Reception team very helpful. Location was fantastic with awesome sea views. beach a short walk down steep hill and if you've enough energy afterwards you can trek back up it. If not the shuttle bus is every 15 mins. We upgraded to a pool room, again lovely room with 16ft private pool and sun terrace. However I think the cleaner forgot to come to ours most days. Floor and bathroom never cleaned in our week stay and beds not made up on 2 days.. water/coffee pods not replenished as promised. Ohh and animation only really in French. That being said would stay here again, just need to swot up on my languages 😉

Nice holiday resort. There are many pool areas separated by sections of the hotel and direct access to the beach with the hotel's own sun loungers. The main restaurant offers a fresh selection of daily changing dishes. For drinks or a snack by the pool, there is an app that you can use to order something directly to your lounger. The rooms could be a little more modern, but they are clean and contain everything you need.

Disappointing All-Inclusive Experience - Not Worth It! I recently stayed at Porto Platanias in Crete, and it was an utterly disappointing experience. Despite paying for an all-inclusive package, what we received was far from it. The food was cheap, repetitive, and lacked variety. The drinks, including sodas and alcoholic beverages, were of the lowest quality possible. To our surprise, the water slides for kids required additional payment, and the complimentary sunbeds at the beach were only free until 10 AM. After that, you had to pay, which seemed like a bad joke. Drinks on the beach were also not included, contrary to the all-inclusive promise. The rooms were subpar, not even meeting a three-star standard. Cleanliness was a major issue right from check-in and persisted throughout our stay. Housekeeping was below average, and the overall room condition was disappointing. This hotel is not at all family-friendly and is definitely not suitable for young children. It feels like a tourist trap rather than a genuine hospitality experience. Save your money and go somewhere else, especially if you are traveling with children. Staying here – it’s not worth the frustration and disappointment.

We had the best week last week at Porto Platanias Beach Resort. Our two girls, 4 and 7 had such a great time at the mini club, it was a sanctuary for our red haired girl who often needed a break from the sun. The animation team were so trustworthy and provided so much fun for the girls all week! Top marks to them! The location of the hotel couldn’t be better and the food was great and varied. Great service, the rooms were cleaned every day and we were always met with a smile by all members of the staff. We will come again! We have been home for two days and our girls are already asking when we’re going back 👌😊😍!

From the moment you arrive it feels like a special place. The approach to the reception is tree lined giving the resort a grander feel. While you check in you are given a refreshing drink. You and your luggage are taken to your room by golf cart. We were upgraded from a garden room to a room with a shared pool, which was appreciated more and more over the holiday. The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating. One evening at the bar we mentioned that we would like to go to the local town for dinner and asked our waitress if she could recommended anywhere. We were told that she only really went to the bars and clubs. About 10 minutes later she returned with a few places that she found out about. Now that is service above and beyond. We paid for a spa treatment and were not disappointed. Overall, it was one of the most enjoyable holidays I have had. A fantastic resort made better by the people who run it and look after the guests.

in general, the hotel is good. and it can be recommended. I will write some points that will be interesting to other guests: the room is clean and ordinary. cleaned every day. drinks and bar are free. refill every 2 days. it's cool that they care about the guests so much. the furniture, the bathroom are a little "damaged ", but I assume that this is from the huge number of guests. it will take some time to go to the sea, be prepared for that. in the morning people go and reserve their place with a towel. those who like to sleep will never find a sunbed and a beach umbrella. the sea is almost never calm. pebbles and stones. wear special shoes. a la carte restaurant menu. everything is reserved. you just won't find a free option. we stood in line waiting, but never found out which restaurants were in this hotel. the main dining room. everything is delicious, diverse, the staff is wonderful. every evening there are some parties and entertainment near the main pool. everything was great. Also there are different shops in the territory of the hotel. I am attaching some photos

The resort is well maintained, beautiful area, room was very comfortable with Aircon, fridge etc. The main restaurant is quite large with a wide selection of foods available. I must say the best part of the holiday was our server Maria at the restaurant. She was absolutely amazing greeting us for every meal, rapidly getting anything we needed and nothing was a problem to her. If only all employees round the world were like Maria. Please not there is a tip jar at the restaurant but this goes to the owner so please if you want to tip make sure you slip it in the staffs pocket. There were other restaurants available but unfortunately booked up, plenty of pools and right by the sea.

We booked this holiday after reading the reviews and we have not been disappointed at all. We are 3 days into a 10 day stay and the place is great! We are in room 6315 which has a mezzanine. The team - everyone is very helpful. From the reception team, the pool staff and the catering and waiting on team in the restaurants. The room - it's clean, is cleaned every day and the cleaners are lovely, can't do enough for you. Lovely size and the mezzanine area gives an amazing sense of space! The food - great selection of food and all good quality. Breakfast - continental, regular fry-up and always loads of fruit. Lunch - same again, great quality and selection. Dinner - some amazing speciality dishes and presentation is immaculate. Hospitality - we have a young family and they were kind enough to provide us with some milk for our infant at 2am when we arrived - not many shops open here at that time. Overall, if you are looking for a great time, clean quality pools and eateries and lovely people then book the Kiani Beach Resort! Thank you team!

We just spent 5 nights at Kiani Beach Resort and had a wonderful time. The resort is right on the beach, giving us amazing ocean views and easy beach access. The service was great, especially from Dimitri and Bijay at the bar. They were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was also really nice. The pools were nicely maintained, and the kids enjoyed them a lot. It was pretty hot. The views of the mountains from our room were amazing. We loved our rooms with a private pool too, especially the auto-fill feature that kept the water level perfect. Big enough room for a family of five. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, even with the heat. It would be nice if there were a few more water rides for the kids. It's definitely worth a one-time visit!

This is a great family all inclusive hotel. It never felt too busy and the teams are relatively helpful. Food is good, drinks free flowing and the pools are clean. There is a 50m pool if anyone’s interested and a sandy beach is right there in front of the hotel.

Before anything else: this place IS NOT a five stars hotel! I’m on my last full day - 7 nights stay - and want to leave a fresh and mindful comment about this place, so that people know this place is terrible in terms of quality per price. - cleanliness is terrible. When we entered the room the floor was wet. When it dried it was full of dust. Asked to sweep it and the maids showed up with a broom. Honestly, they didn’t know how to use it and I ended up sweeping the room myself in front of them; - the beach bar, near the all inclusive snacks smelt like vomit 3 out of the 7 days I was here; - the afternoon snacks available are the worst I ever got at an all inclusive hotel; - the table markers in the restaurant during the meals are reused between people without being cleaned; - the pool stinks to chlorine and one of the main pools is not even watched. In the beach side the girl and/or guy spend the full day sitting and chatting; - in that same pool there isn’t a single decent shower. There is only one in the middle of the dirt from where people leave with their feet totally dirty and very often go straight to the pool; - the meals are a rinse and repeat with medium quality, where it is clear they reuse cooked ingredients between meals; - the hotel only gives a set of towels for the pool that is only changeable free of charge after 7 days, which is disgusting if you use have to use them for the full period; - the pool beds are cleaned with a bucket with pool water at the end of the day; - most of the staff is unbearably arrogant. Just highlighting a few fresh examples I watched and experimented all week. There are more. The few positives are : - location. If you need a base, from here you are 1h30m close to every interesting destination; - the lifeguard in the land side pool is super kind to children; - superior family rooms have a decent layout and seem to have been maintained recently Definitely a place where I felt I spent my money wrong!

I wouldn’t usually write a review but as a family of 6 with a disabled child, i wished someone had written this review before we spent thousands of pounds on the 4 bed maisonette. We have stayed at a lot of 5 star hotels in Greece but this is NOT 5 star quality. The private pool in our room was a health hazard,! Something you’d expect in a budget hotel. Our first evening we all looked at each other and thought - what have we done. We have never been so disappointed when arriving on our holidays. The food thankfully after the 1st evening did improve but if you are a family with young children or disabled persons, this is not the place for you. It is extremely hilly, with only 2 golf cars to help people get around a very large complex. We saw so many families with very young children struggling up the hills. Sun loungers, forget them. They have 200 sun-beds and 1000 guests, no sun-beds at all. Even if you did wake up at 5am to find a bed, you were beaten to it. We relied on our broken pool or a chair we could find to keep us all cool. On a positive note though, the views were stunning

I don't even know where to start. The worst experience we had. We came the first night to a moldy smelling room, full of dead mosquito bodies all over the walls and torn and old towels. We were promised a cot that never arrived and so we had a good night with difficulty breathing so much that I used an inhaler, and a baby full of mosquito bites. In view of this already at six in the morning the next day I arrived at the reception where I was told politely and with complete insensitivity that the manager would only arrive at ten and that we would have to wait for her. We waited and waited and of course she only arrived at 11 (but who noticed?). All in all, a pleasant stay with a baby in the lobby without air conditioning at the height of the heat. When she arrived she offered us 2 rooms and after we settled on one they said it would only be ready at 12 but that didn't happen either and we had to wait a long time. The manager only addressed us when we made a "scene", how nice. Furthermore, the manager herself clearly told us that we would receive a refund if we were not satisfied with the second room, we took the second room because again we are with a baby and it is already noon so we had to compromise but this room is also a bit shamefully clean, there is no internet, and the smell of mold. Now that we asked Confirmation of refund in writing, they dropped it on the agency we closed through and say it's their business. In conclusion, we are stuck in this shocking hotel with the manager's shocking attitude towards her guests, insensitivity and lack of consideration for a situation that is already complex and sensitive with a 9-month-old baby!!! It's just a shame that such a big hotel can't take care of adequate compensation and release from this horrible experience. I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone not to approach and no matter how nice the location is - the management's attitude is simply shameful. The only thing included in their "all inclusive" program is horrible rooms, and taking advantage of money from people who fell for the scam and booked several nights

Stella Village is absolutely amazing, I visited with my husband and granddaughter. Our room was lovely, maid service every day, bottled water and pool towels provided every day too. Can't fault the food and drinks either, lots of choices. The waterpark is fantastic, lots of entertainment in the evening really enjoyed greek night,beach with sunbeds and umbrellas just across the road, we especially enjoyed the pool party in the evening it was great fun for everyone so lucky to be there when it was organized. Thank you so much for my granddaughter's birthday present it was a lovely surprise. Thank you also to all the lovely staff that made our holiday a week to remember.

Hi, This was my first holiday to anywhere in Greece and what a great first impression i got. I travelled to this resort last week with my wife, 2 kids and mother in law. From the moment we entered the place the staff treated us with kindness and respect and were helpful, friendly and eager to help. This level of service from all the staff we got throughout our stay to when we got on the coach to leave. The hotel complex is in an ideal location mostly surrounded by beach and has stunning views of the sea, sunset and sunrise. The apartments and villas are very nicely laid out with lovely shared private pools. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. The communal areas are also very nice to go for walks and the grounds are kept to a very high standard. We tried all the restaurants (great choice) and food areas and the quality of the wide variety of food and level of service was excellent. They also have some nice bars. The beach bar was my favourite. The main bar has different entertainment every night. I would highly recommend this resort to families, couples and friend groups. Lastly, I would like to thank all the staff there for making our holiday that extra special. Also extra special thanks to the very nice lady with blonde hair ( there was only one and sadly didn't get her name) who served us lunch at the beach restaurant.

A lovely place to stay in first impressions. We've just been up to the snack bar and told the staff that one of our party is gluten free. A few minutes later he has a home made gluten free pizza and seeing how long it took to eat I assume delicious as well. We are not disappointed! Me and my family loved our stay at this hotel and its location! The resort is huge with enough space for everyone, great entertainment options, pools, bars and shops. We enjoyed the food and a spectacular view from the hotel restaurant. The sea by the hotel can be too wild sometimes (red flag on the beach). In such cases I recommend to take a 5-10 minute walk to public Saradari beach which is always calm and the water is turquoise blue. I take the best memories from this vacation :) P.S.: if you get a chance, take the catamaran trip to Dia island, it was amazing!

This hotel is definitely not up to 5-star standards. If you're accustomed to staying in 5-star hotels, you'll likely be disappointed. While some aspects are good, many fall short of what you'd expect from a 5-star experience. The location is nice, with a good beach and plenty of loungers available. However, the food is mediocre—I don't understand the positive reviews. The menu is repetitive, the quality is average, and the desserts are poor. The waitstaff, especially the male servers, are rude. I often felt like I had to apologize just for requesting water or coffee. The main restaurant feels more like a cafeteria, with tables packed closely together and music that is too loud. The pools are okay, but they don't seem very clean. The water is always murky. The rooms are okay, but they don't meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. The cleaning staff do their best, but it seems like they are overworked.

Fabulous hotel. Less than an hour from the airport. The staff are all so hard working and friendly. We had a pool view room, a family suit. Plenty of space in it. Would have liked a bit more privacy as we had a teenager with us and she struggled with anywhere to get dressed as it was open plan. But a lovely modern and clean room. Food is amazing. Every meal meal was delicious. The pools were the perfect temp, and lots of pools with loads of loungers. Never a problem getting them in the morning. We liked the pool by the beach and the restaurant here is great for breakfast and dinner. We liked lunch at the main restaurant. Animation team work hard, Koko was our favourite. And the entertainment by the beach bar was good every night, Andreas was our favourite. Would highly recommend it. We didn’t want to come home.

It is a very family oriented resort. I would not recommend it for couples. Beach umbrellas and lunch for children are included. Kids club is good for small children (I would say up to 7 years old). The bathroom does not have a real door. It is all quite open. There is a bus stop close to the resort. Food is good, but I was in 4 stars where there was more change from one day to the other.

Great Holiday in a Great Hotel. Rooms are modern and spacious. Even with high occupancy you have a good feeling as the area is so big. Food is delicious in all restaurants. Specials need to get paid additional even when you have HB or AI. Animation is soft. For the kids there is a nice kids club. The Spa has Sauna, steam bath and a indoor pool. The beach is fantastic. Overall recommend this place.

First day and already incredibly disappointed. The accommodation "bungalow" is nothing more than a small room with a terrace worth mentioning. And then at the very end of the area, right on the main road. In the restaurant I was sent away because I was wearing flip-flops, while women were allowed to do so # discriminatory. Men in sandals or Birkenstocks were allowed in, while I was allowed to walk back. All restaurants are non-smoking restaurants. So it's not possible to have a leisurely drink and a smoke. No mention of this in the description. The prices for the drinks in the restaurants are outrageous. And all of this just on the first day. I'm in a bad mood and I'd like to leave again. Update: The hotel manager came to see me because he had apparently noticed that we were unhappy. We now have a new room with a great view of the sea. That's why we're giving it two stars. It's a shame that the pool area (in the pool) hardly provides any shade. Unfortunately, it's not good for children. The parasols are very small and don't provide much shade. You have to move the loungers every half hour. The food in the hotel is generally good. The staff are very friendly. Let's see how the next 9 days turn out.

However, guests tend to reserve sun loungers early in the morning before heading to breakfast, which can be a bit frustrating if you're not an early riser. Beach: The beach itself is a highlight, especially with the amazing gyros takeout café nearby. However, the sea is quite rocky, so water shoes might be a good idea for a more comfortable swim. Activities: For families, there is an abundance of kids' activities. The kids club, in particular, was a hit, providing entertainment and engagement for children, allowing parents some well-deserved relaxation. Weather: The weather in August was consistently around 30 degrees Celsius throughout the week, making it perfect for enjoying both the beach and the pools. Mitsis Laguna is a solid choice for a family holiday. With comfortable accommodations, great food, excellent service, and plenty of activities, it provides everything you need for a memorable week-long getaway.

We are staying at the hotel right now for birthday celebrations. We are a group of 15 people, with 4 rooms, all kind of ages, kids and adults. All of us are so happy at the hotel. The facilities are so various, the food is great and the cleanliness if very good. The service is definitely perfect, all the employees are so kind and nice. This is a beautiful place with lots of greenery, direct access to the beach, nice food options. Some beautiful seaviews. Rooms are kept very clean. The staff at the restaurants, SPA, reception desk and cleaning service is well trained, polite and kind. Food options are varied and food quality is good. All Inclusive was good value for money and included some drinks. 2 bottles of still water are made available in the rooms daily and free drinks are also available at the reception throughout the day. Quite a number of stairs but with some accessible rooms and restaurants. Would definitely come back!

Generally good experience with everything. The location is stunning, the pools and seating as well as the restaurants are located beautifully along the coastline with views to the sea. The "village" of bungalows and buildings looks very nice. Greenery is mainted well and is in general beautiful. What really makes this a recommendable experience is the location/view and the impeccable and immaculate sand beach.

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. Everything is beautiful here. The entire staff is friendly, everyone, really everyone 😅, and everyone speaks at least English, which is very positive. The entire staff is super helpful as well. Maybe those who like modern buildings won't like it, but those who prefer rooms and bungalows in small, secluded, and quieter separate buildings will love it. The hotel is spread over a large area, so it's big, but the buildings are well-placed, so it's not just one huge building. It’s a truly wild and beautiful place for chilling. We booked all-inclusive, and it far exceeded our expectations. All meals were delicious in the main restaurant. But what is fantastic are the little extra gems like the place called Sunset (where you can eat once as an all-inclusive guest at no extra charge). Everything there was extremely beautiful and extremely delicious. The Italian restaurant also exceeded my expectations. Every night there is an adorable show in the main bar, and there is always something to do in this hotel.The spa is very fun; they let you bargain as part of the daily deal, which is an experience in itself. However, the service there is also five-star.There is even tennis available. The tennis coach is a really cool guy. We enjoyed every lesson with him. If you need something like sunscreen or an ice-cold Monster energy drink 😅, there is a shop inside the hotel which offers everything at very fair prices, almost without exception. I heartily congratulate the hotel management for the wonderful way they run the facility. The transfer to and from the airport was super convenient, very punctual, and fast – probably my best experience so far. All in all, 10/10. I can only recommend it, especially for the value for money. This hotel is a hidden treasure. One tip: we received olive oil and honey as a gift. I tried to sneak it through airport security, but unfortunately, I failed. It would be worthwhile to give these gifts in 100-millilitre packs so I can get them home. But it was a really nice gesture. ### One thing I did not like: there was a photography brigade which was extremely out of sync with the hotel.when I took a picture, a screaming neurotic woman started yanking and shouting like a mad person. Obviously, there is no sign that you have to pay for the prints... Anyway, this could be done in a civilized way, but if it wasn't organized by the hotel, I suggest that remove them very soon because it was such a bad experience. I was annoyed for hours.

A gem of a resort! Fabulous Seaview room - exceptionally cleaned daily by lovely & friendly Katarina! All the staff were so friendly & helpful especially the food servers Antonis & Eva. My husband & I loved the entire Aegeo Spa team! Katarina manager was knowledgeable & very helpful. Panos is an amazing therapist! A complete oasis of relaxation in a very beautiful & quiet setting with well laid out properties amongst well planted natural vegetation. There wasn’t a bad view! The hotel guests were of varying ages & considerate. Food was very good quality & presented well in the different restaurants. We enjoyed the variety of bars with different atmospheres. The 4 good sized pools had very comfortable sun loungers, however they were on the chilly side at this time of the year. The beach area was good & the sea was good for swimming. Cats! They were clean & friendly. Your decision to adopt adults only was very much appreciated by giving us the most relaxed & pleasant experience. I can highly recommend this hotel to adult guests.

My husband and I hoped for a sunny and comfortable vacation at a pleasant get-away, and that is exactly what we got. Room: The room was lovely, meticulously cleaned every day, and offered a lovely view of the cretan mountains above the city. Service: The staff is amazing. The service, their effort to make our stay comfortable, and their kindness certainly played a huge part in making this vacation perfect. The regular entertainment the hotel provided filled the evenings with pleasant music. We always felt that everyone went the extra mile for their guests. Location: The location by the beach and the closeness to the main streets of Malia let us enjoy both the ocean and the city. Despite the busy beachfront, the hotel and surrounding areas never felt crowded, and there was opportunities both to socialize and enjoy solitude. Summary: We strongly recommend High Beach White and High Beach Resort for anyone wanting to enjoy Crete with great hospitality and comfort. High Beach White for adults only is absolutely amazing place. Malia as a city is not really nice. However, the hotel on its own takes you away from the busy streets. Therefore, you do not care what is behind the hotel if you do not go there. The room was beautiful, always clean, with stunning view of the sea. The private pool was amazing as nobody else than those who lived in the High Beach White villas could use it. At the beach we had deckchairs and parasol reserved for the whole vacation, therefore, we never worried if we could lay down by the sea. Marianna and Giorgos at the Sunset bar made our evening always so much more enjoyable. Mario at the beach and pool was just our guy! The absolute best as he always made sure we had a drink in our hand. Emanuel at the Elia Restaurant also always took a great care of us. All the stuff and managers are friendly and helpful whenever you need something. We will definitely come back here! Thank you guys!

Malia as such is not a nice place to stay.. One place right next to the other, cheap restaurants and bars and probably heaven if you are looking for lots if people and party. We didn't do good research here obviously but the pictures of the hotel and its description where also misleading: the place is new maybe but it is tiny and surrounded by lots of other facilities like a pleasure beach bar and the sister properties of the same owner. That means you do breakfast with the bigger place and it's awful. Fake juice, no one wore a mask or cared about distance.. Also the food in the evening was very very low quality wise. Sorry it def not worth the money and it's cheating the customer. We left after 1 night. What was amazing was the hospitality sense if the staff we met. The lady from front office was understanding and helpful in all means and tried a lot to make us happy. Also the restaurant chef was super nice and a real host. These two in any other place would be a delight.

This was our second stay at this hotel. The first time we went to this resort at the end of September in 2021 and now again in August. The hotel was fully booked but as it is a quiet small and comfy hotel it doesn't feel crowed. You have enjoy space and u can really enjoy it to the fullest. Sometimes it also feels like a private little beach. Went to the spa two times. Maria explained all treatments in detail and was super kind. The two girls at the spa Georgia and Anna did an amazing massage. It is a pity I fell asleep, but it was too relaxing. Also it was just us at the spa, so even more quiet atmosphere. Never been to an accommodation twice but for this hotel I made an exception 🙃

The hotel facilities were splendid ! Everything was carefully planned and set out for our arrival and the entirety of our stay. Regarding the Spa and Wellness facility: we booked a Duo - full body - Cretan massage that was highly recommended. The advice we received was precise, tailored for each individual and carefully thought out. Maria and her team (Anna and Georgia) did a formidable job: they were always so welcoming and the quality of the treatment was excellent. We also enjoyed the other facilities available in the Spa: indoor pool and steam room. Everything was clean and soothing. Overall great experience.

La Mer Resort & Spa was truly one of best places I’ve been to! The staff and facilities were fantastic & the best part was the spa and massages - Maria, Anna & Georgia was amazing! So glad we chose this resort for our first time in Crete. Food was spectacular and pool was great with plenty of loungers and deck chairs for everyone. The rooms were on the smaller size but it’s gorgeous, simple and comfortable. Highly recommended for adults looking to relax and enjoy the sun!

Overall a good hotel in a good location, albeit a bit expensive. But take note about few issue before you decide to book this hotel: 1. The pool is available only from 9:00AM! If you have small kids that would like to go to the pool earlier, or if you want to swim in the morning, or if you just want to sit (!) in the pool area - you can’t… actually if you will try to sit next to the pool before 9:00AM, the hotel staff will throw you out 🙁 2. There are dozens of people waiting for the pool starting ~08:00, from all directions, just to secure a seating/sunbed at 09:00. This is really a disgrace that people need to stand for an hour in the heat because the staff doesn’t allow to get near the pool before 09:00. When they finally opened the pool at 09:00, people run to secure a place, and two of them got into a really ugly fight over a sunbed which almost reached a physical fight. What an embarrassment 🙁. Akasha, you need stop this annoying and embarrassing policy. 3. Pay attention to the room location. Some of the rooms in the hotel look like they are in a basement. They have a patio underground... We were given such a room underground… it had a Jacuzzi in the patio but the hotel wanted 50 Euro/day to allow us to use it… since it was a very depressing room and after we complained about it, the hotel was kind enough to offer another room. 4. Breakfast is really good. Dinner has rich variety but some of it is not tasty. After two dinners at the hotel we had to go out to buy something for the kids who couldn’t find something to eat. Maybe kids options will improve the situation. 5. Air conditioning in public areas (lobby and dining room) is really weak. Thanks for the stay. There are couple of things that the hotel can definitely do to improve the experience.

I recently stayed here for 6 nights and it is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel, my room and location are all beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing, I didn't eat a single meal that I didn't enjoy in my all inclusive package. The main thing I must mention though is the staff here. Every single member of staff was so professional, so friendly and were so helpful and always there on hand if we needed anything. Special shout out has to go to a lovely lady called Maria who was absolutely amazing throughout our whole stay. She seemed to work nearly every shift I stayed here and she continued to have a smile on her face every time. Thank you for such an amazing stay, would highly recommend!

This is far the best hotel we ever stayed for 10 nights. Room was spotless, we booked Urban Chic with plunge pool and can’t fault it! Water was very cold but did not complain! Food was delicious! & Id like to raise to a lady called Nada, the loveliest lady I ever met and made me and my partner feel very welcoming and did not make us feel awkward as she was already aware of us being deaf. I will miss her dearly and her kindness! Location was brilliant, very easy to access and we went to Med restaurant for our last night and was only down the road from our hotel! We’ve done so many activities and hired a car too. We’ve had the best time and we will definitely come back again. Thank you!

I have recently returned from a week holiday at The Akasha hotel & spa, WOW! - where do I start!: Because this hotel really is as good as it looks in ALL the photos. 😊 My daughter surprised me with this holiday treat due to a significant family death & she literally could NOT have chosen a more perfect hotel or destination. The private beach is kept immaculate, the terrace & the upper swimming pool area are both beautiful too. The food is exceptional with a live cook at both breakfast & evening meal. The choices are phenomenal whether you wish to remain healthy or wish for a holiday treat - there’s truly something for everyone & everything is absolutely delicious! I absolutely have to credit ALL the staff - for such an incredible memory. From the housekeepers to the musicians that played at dinner (we witnessed a saxophonist, pianist, violinist & flutist) that really did add to the ambience - but, literally to every member of staff: you’re professionalism was duly noted! Nothing was too much trouble & every single service was delivered with a smile & in the most dedicated & cheerful manner. Akasha Hotel - you deliver more than could ever be expected! I have no hesitation in recommending you - in fact, I’d like to come back! But, before I sign off, as much as I’ve already highly praised ALL the staff at this superb & beautiful hotel, I’d just like to highlight the most exceptional staff member: Klodiana because she shone so bright! I recently stayed at the AKASHA Beach Hotel & Spa, and overall, it was an impressive experience. The hotel’s modern design and prime location make it a top choice for anyone looking to relax by the sea while still being close to local attractions. The hotel features three distinct pools: a rooftop pool with stunning panoramic views, a beach pool for those who want to be closer to the sea, and the main pool, which is where most guests want to be. The main pool is a sun-soaked haven during the day, ideal for lounging and soaking up the rays. At night, it transforms into a picturesque scene, perfect for capturing some memorable photos. I stayed in an Urban Chic Room, which was spacious, clean, and modern. The décor throughout the hotel follows this stylish and contemporary theme. While the room wasn’t particularly standout, it was certainly comfortable and well-appointed. I did request an upgrade to a sea view room to capture the sunrise, but unfortunately, this couldn’t be accommodated, which was a bit of a disappointment. Dining at the hotel was a highlight of my stay. The Half Board restaurant offered a huge variety of tasty dishes, with something new to try most evenings. The themed dining nights added a fun twist to the culinary experience. The food quality was consistently excellent, but I did notice that the drink service slowed down during peak times. As a solo traveller, it seemed that families and couples were given priority, which was a bit frustrating. One of the few drawbacks was the morning rush for the day beds by the main pool. Although the pool officially opens at 9am, some guests start queuing at the pool bar as early as 8am to secure the best spots. George, the pool attendant, does a commendable job managing the situation, but it can be a bit of a hassle if you’re looking to avoid the early morning scramble. Overall, AKASHA Beach Hotel & Spa is a solid 5-star property that delivers a luxurious and relaxing experience. While there were a few minor issues—like the occasional slow bar service and the day bed competition—it’s still a fantastic place to stay. I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a chic and comfortable beachside getaway!

We had our 7 nights trip at the end of August ; rooms incredibly small with bathroom that couldn’t fit 2 adults ( deluxe garden view was our room) . The cleaning service was extremely disappointing ( at 2:30pm we had our room still not cleaned). The public restaurant where all meals were served had a very poor service and waiters who never cleaned if smth fell on the floor and who barely cleaned the tables or came to ask if anything was needed . For a 5 star hotel the service was for a rather 4 star one and definitely not recommended for small children with a disappointing treatment for children . The best thing was the view and the sea water ( too bad that there was no lifeguard on the beach and very small beach) .

Rooms were fantastic (did get a bungalow with a private pool which was well worth paying extra for) - very clean and comfortable. Service at the yacht bar was so much fun and high quality - Daryl and Stavros deserve a big thank you for putting a smile on faces every night. Buffet food was good but you need to time it to enjoy - be there first and before peak times (the hotel advises these times), to enjoy it. This is the only thing that dropped it from 5 star - it was still good food and healthy but not to rave about. Staff are so busy from demanding patrons, but if you were kind to them and patient, they were overly appreciative and returned the kindness in bucketloads. We always felt like treasured guests. Location was fabulous- easy walk to town and beautiful beaches at the doorstep!

The most beautiful hotel for this price! It was a vacation for three of us. Thank you Christina at reception for making us a great upgrade with a sea view! The staff and service are top notch! The bartenders make very tasty cocktails (especially Michael at the bar near the beach). We were never hungry. The territory is incredibly beautiful and well-maintained. Everywhere you look - everywhere is beautiful. But the most important plus is the sea, clean calm, warm, with an easy approach. Went to three a la carte restaurants. Very tasty. Especially the Elia restaurant. From the minuses - the hotel management should hire more people. The staff physically does not have time, although they try their best. It is also worth adding sunbeds, I had to come at 7-7.30 am to take a seat. But it did not spoil the impression of rest. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends

What an experience and we enjoyed it. We were welcomed by extremely helpful staff and settled into our room. Comfortable beds and spacious room with enough storage. Unfortunately as its a hot country we did struggle as we had ants but once we told staff they ensured this was dealt with immediately and didn't really have anymore in our bedroom for the remainder of the holiday. Our private pool was amazing and allowed us to have our own space and swim around as we wished. The buffet selection is good but felt that it would've been nice to offer more authentic Greek food which the do have restaurants which provide this and was really nice. We used all the pools on the ground and private beach which was really nice and settings were amazing. Overall, I would love to go back and see more of the local town as we did go out in the evening which was nice and had a Gyros from a place called Uno. 10/10. Thank you Wyndham Grand Crete and will be back soon.

My pregnant wife was not let into our room until 2210 on our day of check in. After waiting nearly 1 hour in reception for someone to show us our rooms the cushions were ripped. When we tried to call reception the phone did not work and the shower did not work for 2 days. Cleanliness in toilets was poor.

Overall, we had a great holiday . Nice hotel , big spacious rooms , lots of pools, the kids loved the water park . All the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is kept very clean. There was always sunbeds available round the pools and on the beach . The only slight downside was a lack of choice of different restaurants on a night . There is a Asian restaurant, but it would have been nice to a few others.

It’s a family hotel. Very clean and modern with super equipped gym. There are very decent guests from UK and Germany mostly. BUT !!! The diversity of food is huge but has no taste. Absolutely no taste. Pools are good, huge area of the hotel. The entrance to the sea is dangerous as it has many rocks and stones. So again for kids it can be a problem. In our bathroom the water drops from the ceiling for 2 days. They “repair” it slowly but giving no alternative room.

Absolutely fabulous hotel and the perfect resort for families. Spacious and comfortable rooms, delicious food options to suit all tastes, excellent range of facilities and friendly service. Have already booked to stay again and I never go anywhere twice!

Wow, it was great vacation! The hotel is wonderful. we have great time. the pools are awesome and plenty, the water park and the play ground are great, and also the beach. every thing is clean and very organize. there was no problem to find a bed and an umbrella near the sea. we booked the sharing pool suite. It's rated as 5 star hotel, i think its more 4.5. There was some thing that is not quiet 5 'starish'. our room is designated for 4/5 peoples, was very small, its feels a bit claustrophobic ,and it is look a little outdated. the water stream at the shower is very week. the hotel food is ok. its a shame that you have such great verity and high quality products, and you fail to produce great tasty food. we do loved the desserts. over all we had a great time. the kids love it. I think value for money its a good deal, maybe a slight on the expansive side.

Our stay at Seaside Resort was absolutely incredible! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and offered stunning views of the ocean. The amenities were top-notch, including the luxurious spa, well-equipped fitness center, and the pristine pool area. The on-site dining options were fantastic, offering a variety of delicious dishes. I was particularly impressed by the resort's attention to detail and their commitment to guest satisfaction. Seaside Resort truly exceeded all my expectations and I can't wait to return. I totally recommend this resort. The staff, from the time you step foot on the ground, is there to assist you with anything you need. Rooms are clean and come with a bottle of wine. Bars and pools are clean, and we'll staffed and have a good variety of drinks available. The food is wonderful and buffet style. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The variety and freshness is wonderful, serving mainly greek dishes. We would certainly make another trip to Sea Side Resort.

In arriving the location and hotel was even more than expected. Arrived at 2.30 am friendly welcome told there was coffee and buffet available in restaurant. Golf buggy lift to room with informative driver. Generally the place is amazing way beyond expectation. Only thing missing is a little extra communication but a minor detail . Recently stayed here for 7 nights as a couple and we were extremely happy with the resort. It is a VERY large resort with multiple restaurants, gym, yoga studio, spa, two main pools with bars, a shop and main bar. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by lovely team members and taken by golf cart to our room. We booked a Casa Sunset Swim Up Room which meant we had a shared pool that overlooked the resort but you had a clear view of the sea and allowed us to watch the beautiful sunset from the pool area. The room itself was well sized, very modern and clean and the balcony also had a sea view. Over the week we ate at the main restaurant which was buffet style. Everyday there was a large range of food from starters, sides, salads, meats, pastas, vegan options, desserts and more! It was an incredible selection that varied everyday. We also purchased a Breakfast In Bed for one morning to celebrate my other half’s birthday and this was incredible!! We were provided with two trays over flowing with a variety of drinks and food. They also then made his birthday even better by surprising us with a cake (I hadn’t informed them about his birthday so that shows what brilliant service they provide!) The bar area has events every night from singers, dancers, DJs and more. The location is around half an hour away from the airport and there is a bus route that takes you to the nearest town. Overall the resort was insanely beautiful; is very modern but also traditional at the same time. It is the perfect location to get away and enjoy life in the sun.

On arrival we discovered we had been put in a room for 2 not 3. The hotel were not able to offer any solutions or compensation. In the end they brought in a pullout bed. We sre paying adult rates for our teenager and as such expect to receive the equivalent in service. The room was only catered for 2.. 2 towels etc.. The water from the shower pulls over into the main bathroom and toilet area. Not what we expected from the luxury room we had booked and paid for. We made the mistake of booking half board. The food in the restaurant is not good at all. We opted to eat out every night in Elounda. So many choice, much better value and quality. The best part of the hotel is the location. The sea view is stunning and with guaranteed heat, very relaxing.

I was a bit concerned following some of the reviews. But we were surprised for good in many ways. Yes the hotel guests are mostly older couples, and it is not all new. But it didn't bother us at all. The room was perfect, clean. most of the staff is welcoming and helpful. The beach and the surroundings are amazing. The thing to improve would be the dinner, it was tasty and fresh, but too simple and repetative. Still the overall experience was very pleasant. Thank you for the calming vacation!!!

The staff of the hotel is wonderful and location is perfect. Michaela if i remember the name right , is very cheerful and open to talk to. However , i feel 4 stars fits in ,primarily due to the inconvenience caused to us by changing the rooms multiples times, rooms were not renovated as shown on to us in the pictures, during the evenings dinners the some of the main course food was not filled again even after waiting for 20 to 30 minutes , the dinner times was bit loud and stressful , that it was hard to enjoy the time. Family of vegetarians and mobility challenges had an excellent stay: They immediately and consistently treat you with friendly courtesy that persists throughout the stay. The accommodations are accessed via golf carts which are frequent enough and easily available. My wife is mobility challenged and this place has ramps essentially everywhere. The beach is modest but adequate with cabanas, seating, and dedicated bar. The walk to the beach is negligible. The breakfast buffet was quite good quality and variety but again it is the consistently courteous service that bears repeating. The restaurant manager was proactively seeking out ways to make us comfortable. The food is quite good with a mix of local and modified options. Even though i eat everything, my family is vegetarian and they were quite happy with the options. Their menu is quite explicit about ingredients! My children absolutely loved the private pool which is why i felt comfortable giving the rooms 5 stars (otherwise i would have said 4 stars as the room was on the small side compared with other hotels) and it was well air conditioned and well maintained each time we returned. We had an excellent experience here.

We spent 5 days at this resort and loved every minute. Our two bedroom family villa was lovely, modern, with fabulous views of the sea. The half board package was outstanding as the breakfasts were amazing, both the buffet and a la cart. We could then decide whether our second meal was lunch or dinner which was great as we enjoyed going into town for dinner. The culinary experience at the resort was truly superb. Every meal was delightful. It was an easy 25 minute walk to town with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants and a short taxi ride back at the end of the evening. Our sons 19, 20, 26 all had a great time, enjoyed all the amenities including the outdoor gym and the night life in town. The spa treatment (massage) was outstanding… Equally important to the luxury of this property was the fact that the entire staff went out of their way to make this an incredible stay for our family. We stayed in several places in Greece and bar none the staff at Dome Zeen was second to none. Thank you for the beautiful memories!

In mid May we enjoyed our second 7-night stay at the wonderful Domes Zeen, and it was just as memorable as our first visit. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The resort itself is beautifully designed, offering a serene and luxurious atmosphere that instantly makes you feel relaxed and pampered. We opted for the half-board package, and the food was absolutely delicious. Each meal was a delightful culinary experience, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes. The quality and presentation of the dishes were consistently excellent, making dining a highlight of our stay. The staff at Domes Zeen were exceptional, always attentive, friendly, and eager to assist with any request. Their hospitality added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel truly welcome. The only downside to our stay was the number of small children around the pool area. There was quite a bit of splashing and noise, which occasionally disrupted the otherwise tranquil environment. While families with children might find this a positive aspect, those seeking a quieter experience around the pool might find it a bit challenging. Overall, despite the minor inconvenience around the pool, our stay at Domes Zeen was fantastic. We highly recommend this resort for its superb food, excellent service, and beautiful setting. We look forward to returning in the future!

Amazing! The hotel is stylish, modern and looks amazing. Love the design of the buildings and the landscaping. Our room was large, airy and comfortable. We had a private plunge pool in a walled garden attached to our room which was a massive bonus during a heatwave! Rooms kept lovely and clean and the pillow menu was a nice touch. The service was fantastic. Stella in the restaurant was fantastic, accommodating, professional and very friendly. It was a pleasure to chat to her every evening. Marina and her team in the spa were so good that we had to go back for more treatments before we left- the treatments were fantastic, with a huge range of options and left us feeling relaxed and renewed. The food was good, with a good variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Location was great - a nice private beach, but close enough to other very nice beaches and a short drive to the old town of Chania. The hotel is spread down a hill, so less mobile people might find this difficult, but an efficient buggy service is available. Would recommend without hesitation. In fact, we are booking again and this time are bringing my father and his wife for his 60th birthday.

We are vacationing here for the second year in a row. Perfect place for us. I believe the best hotel in Crete. We will definitely come back here next year. Among the undoubted advantages of the hotel: 1) a large sandy beach with a safe entrance to the sea - ideal for recreation with small children. Beautiful place, the staff is incredible and helpful although the hotel is full and there is huge amount of work, honestly we believe it is a bit understaffed. But the guys try hard though. We recently had the pleasure of staying at Caramel Hotel, and we were absolutely amazed by the beautiful villa we received. The rooms were very clean, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly sets Caramel apart, though, is the warm, family-friendly atmosphere. We’ve always enjoyed the food here, but this year it was on a whole new level—kudos to the Chef and the entire culinary team! Every meal was a delight, showcasing an excellent variety of dishes that catered to every palate. The service, as always, was outstanding. A special shoutout to Konstantina, Alexander, Oggy, and the rest of the team. They consistently go above and beyond, with their friendly and helpful demeanor making our stay truly exceptional. One small note would be the quality of drinks from the bar. While they were perfectly fine, they didn’t quite match the exceptional quality of the food. That said, this is a minor point in an otherwise fantastic experience. Caramel Hotel is undoubtedly a dream destination for family holidays. We can't recommend it enough and are already looking forward to our next visit!

We were so happy to stay at Carmel Greco hotel resort for our honeymoon! From the moment we arrived on the campus, we were greeted by several smiling faces and an excellent service staff. The check-in process was excellent, and the rooms were comfortable. Although they were clean, they were slightly outdated. The pool was immaculate, large resort style salt water, and the beach was well maintained with soft sand rather than the rocks seen at some other beaches on the island. The food we experienced at dinner was the best meal we had on our whole vacation and the breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety of offerings. As honeymooners we were treated very well with some special surprises and made to feel very special. The staff were very personable, knowing us by room number and all. We would love to come back and enjoy this beautiful resort again!

Lovely beach resort near to Rethymno. Suitable for couples and families. Absolutely great service and food level is also rather high. It is suitable for people seeking for some privacy- around 60 rooms is not so busy and let guests to have calm and restful stay. Price level is quite high compared to Greece prices in general but definitely worth it.

One of our party snapped the key off in the lock on the first day and it was fixed within minutes despite it being almost one in the morning. The hospitality here is outstanding. Quiet rooms with a balcony view of the sea. Cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels. Spacious inside. Access to the pool. They also offer car rental and reasonable prices. Cannot praise enough.

We stayed at the Sunny Suites hotel for 2 weeks and found the Hotel to be perfect for our needs. The staff were warm and welcoming and the rooms were cleaned every day, although the rooms are quite compact they come fully equipped with cooking facilities and utensils and in addition to this we had an iron and hairdryer supplied in the room. The facilities at the hotel are limited to the pool bar but this is perfect for snacks a refreshment. The pool area is kept very clean and organised and there is enough space for all the guests, there was space for us every day at the pool and there was none of the silly behaviour where people save the sun loungers and go out all day. Chania old town is a 20 min bus ride which cost us 7.5 Euro each way for a family of 4, our youngest was free being only 4. There is not a large selection of bars in the immediate vicinity but we did find lots within a 10 min walk of the hotel.

If you are well traveled you will be shocked by this hotel being 5 star .. I recently stayed and, unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, they were the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing stay. The coffee was a major letdown—terribly brewed and practically undrinkable. To make matters worse, the hotel offered no non-alcoholic beverage options, leaving guests with limited choices unless they resorted to tap water. This lack of consideration for all guests was surprising and frustrating. The rooms were another disappointment. They felt outdated, with old furnishings and decor that seemed untouched for decades. The lack of modern amenities made the stay feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Dining at the hotel was a costly and underwhelming experience. The food was overpriced, with a menu that promised much more than it delivered. The dishes were bland and uninspired, far from what one would expect for the price point. Additionally, long waiting times for service were a consistent issue, compounded by a buggy service that often got orders wrong or took far too long to correct them. In summary, while the staff were great and did their best to provide good service, they were overshadowed by the hotel's numerous shortcomings. From poor coffee and beverage options to old rooms and overpriced, subpar food, the experience was not worth the cost. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

Actually, this is just one of the hotels in the entire complex. Unfortunately, guests from the other hotels can use the pool and have the communal breakfast, which can be a bit confusing and noisy. Overall, the hotel could use some renovation; you can feel the passage of time in the rooms. The service is very good, and the view is superb. The pool is inviting for activities but less so for relaxation. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the water is too cold. It was more comfortable to swim in the sea than in the pool. The hotel is slightly off the beaten path, so having a car is recommended. The balcony furniture is terribly uncomfortable :( Important note: they could use someone to inform guests about the location of the pool towels or make it more visible. During my week-long stay, I was asked about the towel's location about 20 times.

The best hotel I have ever stayed! Here everything is perfect! The hotel is old and the rooms made in old style that firstly looks weird and after looks very unique and I fall in love In it.. The view on the sea is amazing! The cleaners are the best! Room was extremely clean every day. The breakfast is very tasty, quality of the products is great! The staff all over hotel is amazing! Special thanks to Olga - she was extremely helpful in anything. The beach is very small, but very quite and perfect for kids! And the beach is private with very beautiful water! Everything else was absolutely fabulous. By far the best service I have ever received at a hotel, and I've traveled a lot. Totally top tier kindness! The employees are incredibly warm and helpful. Whatever you ask for they will find a way to make happen. You can totally stay there the whole time, but we took a few day trips outside of Elounda (you’ll either need to rent a car or a taxi in order to do this). But if you want to stay at the resort, the hotel is great because there are three different hotels underneath the same ownership, and your hotel can make your reservation for other hotels restaurants because it's all under the same system. So it's fun because when you go to dinner to one of the other hotels, you feel like you're going somewhere else but it's really just a short shuttle ride away. We did not stay in a pool room but our room was right in front of the pool so it was like perfect for us as we still got the pool aspect! You must plan your trip to be there on a Monday night to experience Cretan night. It was so much fun!!! ENJOY! Elounda Mare truly is a magical place.

YES! 🙌 it was a great choice and we already looking forward to go again! We spent most of our time by the beach, the sand was soft, clean, plenty beach beds & cabanas and a lifeguard on duty. The ambient was relaxing and gave us a recharge. The food was excellent, made fresh with local delicacies, -if you have the chance do not miss the slow cooked lamb in basilikos restaurant.

Wow. What can I say. This hotel is wonderful. We have been so well Looked after from the moment we got here. The rooms are very clean and tidy and are made up every day without fail. The facilities are great. The pools are clean and fresh and the water park is great fun. The food has been amazing. So much choice with themed nights several times a week. This staff are amazing. So so warm and welcoming. The hotel is set on a hill and so it does have a number of climbs however there is a train that runs really frequently that takes you from reception all the way to the water park at the top. Cannot recommend this enough.

We had a wonderful holiday at Fodele beach resort. Beautiful resort, super friendly personnel, delicious food and great balance between children and parent friendly. For example the cocktail bar is not directly next to the pool, and the “fun train” drives through the resort every 10 minutes. Our son loved this and made it easy go from A to B.

Over-crowded self-service Hotel. You have to queue for everything. You arrived after 9hrs night travel at the hotel: sorry, your room will only be ready in three hours. Feel free to use the hotel lobby to get dressed. Fresh Beach Towels: go and take some yourself. Entrance to the (standard) restaurant: sorry, we are full, you have to wait 20 minutes. Want a beer: queue and wait 10 minutes. Want a lay chair at the beach? Get up at 8am and reserve some with your towel (if you were smart enough to keep one from the day before because you only get fresh ones after 10am). The site is the only thing that deserves 5 stars. The rest is rather 2 stars.

The lobby/restaurants are beautiful, and the service is pretty good. However, the rooms are extremely run down and small, the food is overpriced and mediocre and you can’t get a beach chair if you don’t get there first thing in the morning (at least in august). Would not recommend staying here.

Kids camp was a big hit and gave us a much needed break. The huge buffet style breakfast and dinners were really delicious. Pool and beach bars had good lunch options. There are a few towns nearby if you want to mix it up (Plaka and Elounda), but we spent most of our time at the resort because it was just so nice and relaxing!

Absolutely stunning hotel in a wonderful location. The rooms were exquisite and extremely well appointed. A good variety of restaurants, in particular the beach restaurant is excellent. Vegetarians pescatarians and children’s pallets all well catered for. We experienced slightly sluggish service in the main bar which was a pity but really the only complaint. The staff are lovely and attentive the facilities high quality and well maintained. There is always a club car to take you around the resort if you wish but a stroll through the grounds is pleasant too.

10000% best service I have ever received. I am deathly allergic to peanuts and tree nuts, and the staff made ME feel like the special one on this trip!!! I was always offered nut free options made completely separately in a different kitchen to make sure I felt safe eating my food! The staff was beyond generous and helpful. Specifically Lena, she is the go-to lady for help with allergens. I ended up sick one night, and she sent me room service all allergen free (free of charge too)!!! As well as always going above and beyond with giving me a number to contact her 24/7 if I needed anything! (even late night tiramisu!!!) She truly is so kind and caring. As well as the waitress Charis at Blend. She made my trip unforgettable with fantastic service and the biggest warmest smile! For someone with an allergy; this place is truly a dream.

The service is truly a 10/10, the staff is always friendly and forthcoming. Food is amazing at all of the restaurants and you get a variety of different things each day at the buffet. The drinks and snacks you can get at either the beach or the pool are also really good. The beach is a beautiful area, but water shoes are needed! If you forgot to bring them, the hotel's gift shop has them for you! As well as souvenirs and all the other things one might need. Pool area and the hotel itself are beautifully done. Visited Crete in July with my partner, he chose this hotel as my Christmas present which I was over the moon with. Never visited Crete before and was really looking forward to coming. Upon arrival, we were stunned. Such a beautiful area and a lovely hotel/apartments! Our room was lovely and clean and we had an amazing sea view which was great for the sunrises! Food tasted lovely and we enjoyed visiting the surrounding towns and villages. However a couple days into our holiday I started to become ill. I was mostly bed bound but tried to get out the room as much as possible as I didn’t want to waste any time. I didn’t know what was wrong but chose not to see a doctor or visit a hospital as I didn’t want to spoil our holiday. We informed a manager of this and she wanted me to see a doctor but I persisted to see one when we arrived back into the UK. Having come home, I was diagnosed with salmonella, which I was totally shocked by given that this was a luxury to us and I would not have ever imagined to come here and get ill from something I had ate. I have since emailed the hotel with an email address I was given off the lady I spoke to on our last day about me being ill and proof of results. They haven’t even bothered to respond so I’ll be taking it up with JET2. So we will not be visiting again and I am disappointed. Not to say someone will have the same outcome as I did but just thought this review might be useful to someone!

Very nice. First time to Crete, but I am a huge Hilton Curio fan. This had a great location, private beach with snack bar, good size pool, plenty of food and drink. Rooms are not huge but are clean and maintained daily. You can upgrade and get a private pool. Food was good, the only drawback is it is the same as ant did you get in any all inclusive around the world and I would have preferred more Greek food. Cocktails are plentiful and tasty! Staff were great and very attentive. In the UK this would class as more like four star, but bearing in mind this is Greece it is deserving of five.

Nothing short of wonderful. From start to finish the whole holiday was amazing. Staff in their relaxed spa like uniforms , very attentive but not too intrusive. Food was amazing from breakfast lunch and dinner. So much selection. Room was beautiful and water and towel topped up everyday. We had our own pool to share with our neighbours and the communal pool was great. Plenty of sun beds. The gym was also an added bonus. Great equipment and open 24/7. We needed this holiday more than ever but it surpassed our expectations. The people are welcoming and so very helpful. We are coming back again next year

We had a lovely stay at Kalliston. We have been upgraded at first to a better view room which we much appreciated. We took the breakfast option, and it is one of the best we had so far, so many varieties! There are different pools and the beach area is very nice, we stayed often at the beach and we appreciated that there was space and people are not one on another. The service is very great as well, staff is not too pushy. We were at the gym as well and we can say that you have anything you want in there. The room is spacious and the mattress quite comfortable, however the bathroom will definitely need a freshen up. We appreciated as well the entertainment at night and the DJ in the afternoon, big up for this! Overall, this hotel is amazing and the fact that is an adult only it is quite a plus, you can go there and enjoy calm. However, I would not say it is a 5 stars hotel.

Atlantica Kalliston Resort - An Exceptional Stay! We had an absolutely fantastic time at Atlantica Kalliston Resort! The customer service was truly outstanding. Every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their friendly and approachable demeanor created such a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable. But what really set this hotel apart was the food. The quality of ingredients was exceptional, and the dishes were simply delicious. It was the best hotel food we've experienced in Crete by far. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Chania. It's a hidden gem! Special mention to the the check in lady ! (Who was exceptional) and the gentleman at concierge who made sure we all had cold bottles of water when we left the hotel for the old town today ! It’s all about the small things ! Keep it up guys ! Also do check out the Asian restaurant!

Only 2 missteps: Orange Juice at breakfast was more like cordial, and the piped music was awful, lounge bar versions of 80s hits, sucking all soul and joy from them.

This was one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed at. The hotel has a lot of different facilities, three pools, two beach bars, a snack bar, very comfrotable sunbeds, three restaurants, spa center etc but the best thing is that pools are very close to the beach and sunbeds are located between the beach and pools. Also, breakfast is very diverse and delicious. The hotel has a lot of staff and every one of each is very friendly and polite. They are very attentive and are always around to make sure that we have everything we need. Almost every day in the evening, the staff would check to offer a quick room service if we need any in addition to the regular daily room cleaning. Night before our leave, the reception lady called to arrange a taxi to the airport and to offer a late check out since our flight was in the evening. Hospitality is really outstanding!

We loved our stay at Atlantica Kalliston: Rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Breakfast is elaborate and delicious. Even though the hotel was fully booked, we experienced a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed sunbathing and swimming at the poolside (especially our son who is in a wheelchair) and private beach. There was nice entertainment in the evenings and swift service at the bar, poolside and restaurant. Theodora and all other staff members made sure we were well taken care of. The location is quite convenient, you will find plenty of shops, car rentals and fine restaurants in the neighbourhood. The only downside was the noise of the traffic at night.

Our initial rooms, one was great, the other poor. We were upgraded to a villa, perfect. Rooms are a little tired, views can be epic. Restaurants, the main buffet, awful in my view, like a Butlins canteen for us. Food not great. A la carte great if you pay extra. Most items pre frozen. Bar staff very rude in the beach bar, making comments to us and other tourists, seems one guy in particular, wait staff pleasant, especially a la carte and Italian. Canteen feels rushed. Evening entertainment so so. Feels mixed, not a 5 star for us, more 3 plus. Beautiful views. Guest relations and reception staff very nice and professional, car hire guy seems stressed to me. Some tourists a bit chavy, drinkers, most nice. Fine for a beach holiday, not much else to do. And huge hills. Not a mobility place.

Everything fabulous. Room is great with view straight out on to our large private sharing pool (maximum 8 rooms sharing) and the sea just beyond. Food is buffet style in the main restaurant and is excellent. There are themed nights eg Greek, Asian, Italian and there is always a fantastic varied selection of starters, mains and desserts. There are also lots of other bars and restaurants on site plus room service if required and a mini market, jewellers and hairdress too. Staff are very friendly and helpful particularly Stella and Odyssea who deserve a special mention for the exceptional service they provided for us. Nearby outside the main gate are a bar/restaurant and a large supermarket. Hersonnissos is around a 45 minute walk from the hotel which I walked once but there was just the usual shops and bars etc and nothing special in there to make me want to return. During our time here, we had the great pleasure of standing on our balcony and watching a beautiful beachside wedding take place - a very romantic setting. I'd definitely return here to a villa room in future. Highly rated hotel with exceptional staff, service and accommodation.

The site manager Monika was an absolute sweetheart and catered to all our needs. Located on a serene mountain overlooking the bay in a very safe environment, a 10 min drive to the town centre making it very convenient for families and singles. Breakfast can be either served in the villa at your request or you can drive over to a sister hotel for a 5 star buffet.

Great small hotel with personal service and a touch of real luxury. We had an oceanfront room that ticked all the boxes. Great breakfast buffet, great dinner. I usually don’t buy half board, but did so accidentally in this hotel. I didn’t regret it, because dinner was really amazing and they’re doing a creative version of modern Greek cooking. Lovely underground spa, steam room and swimming pool. The location is fantastic, and there is a lot to see in walking distance. In 45 minutes, you can walk to Chania center with all its great restaurants and bars.

Lovely pool and rooms (brilliant size for my husband and son). The overall look and feel of the hotel was great. The main point of disappointment was the service - none of It had the ‘how can we help’ approach (which you’d hope for, given the price) and none of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there. Also, for children, there was little activity aside from the holiday club - the other facilities were closed (without explanation) and the evening entertainment was very minimal. The overall app experience was disappointing (yet seemingly vital for bookings), and the restaurants were apparently full every night (despite being half empty when in them). It has so much potential but sadly very average.

Really good 5 star hotel: large pools, excellent food, lot of nice personel, clean, no noise around a pool like in Turkey so you can really relax. Bad things: beach must be improved with more sunbeds and better entrance to the sea. Not enough sunbeds around the pool so you have to get up at 6.30 to take sunbeds. Really unprofessional from the hotel that they don't have enough sunbeds so guests have to fight for them. You pay 5 000 euros for vacation and in a 5 star hotel at 8 am you can't find free sunbeds! Only because of this I would never come back nor recommend this hotel to my friends.

We spent five days here and it was the best choice we could've made. The food options were just amazing; we loved trying different dishes every day, and the nightly entertainment was a great way to unwind. The pools are super clean, and the staff are some of the friendliest people we've ever met—they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. There's a beautiful spa and a gym if you want some relaxation or exercise. Plus, the beach is just a few steps away, and you don't have to pay for a lounge chair, which is a nice perk. Just a heads up, though: we weren't too impressed with the restaurant Vegera. You're better off sticking to the buffet; it has so many great options. We're already planning to come back in 2025 and can't wait! We forgot to tip some of the staff, we wanted to give around 100 euros in tips when we get back next year we will give it to the staff if they are still there

Don’t hesitate to book this amazing resort. We booked this resort for 5 days (the last of the islands on our honeymoon in Greece) and it was the best decision we made. The food and the options were amazing, there was entertainment every night. The pools were clean, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They have a beautiful spa and a workout center as well. There is also a beach that is accessible only a few feet away from the resort where you do not have to pay a fee for a lounge chair! Again, don’t hesitate to book this incredible resort. You won’t regret it.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Stella Island Resort. The resort is beautifully laid out with lots of plants and pools. The rooms are very modern and tastefully furnished. The restaurants offered a varied selection of food that tasted delicious. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Maria and her team at the Umbra Bar in particular, as they looked after us very well. However, we would like to point out two things: 1. there is a dress code in the restaurants, which we think is very good. However, not all guests adhere to it: some guests sat in the restaurant in short jogging trousers, wrinkled Adidas shirts and flip flops. This does not do justice to the standard and ambience of the hotel. If there is a dress code, it should be adhered to, even if this means that guests are sent away again to change. 2. it very often happened that sun loungers were reserved with towels in the morning and their owners sometimes only appeared at the pool at lunchtime. There are signs indicating that it is not permitted to reserve sunbeds before 8.30 am. But even sunbeds reserved after 8.30 am were often only occupied a few hours later. I don't expect this at a luxury resort. We would very much like these two points to be taken into consideration.

Went for our honeymoon, I would give a 9.5/10. The cons are very miniscule for us, but could make a difference to someone else! Pros: - We did a swim-up room and it was the best decision. We had the perfect view to watch entertainment across from the pool bar right from our room on our patio. - The service is top notch, everyone was so kind and accommodating - There is entertainment every night, it was great to go and see! - The beach is close by and they have their own section reserved so you don't have to pay for the chairs/umbrellas - The food and restaurants were great and the drinks were good - You also get use of the water park next door. Cons: - For the all-inclusive package you didn't get a large beer selection and it also ended at 11:00pm. - The room was very nice but the shower area wasn't much to look at and didn't have that luxury feel. - You cannot book restaurants until you get there and most of them were already booked the whole week, we were able to get into three different ones which was very lucky (one place we walked in for lunch) Overall, it was a wonderful and relaxing stay. The kid palace is right next door, but I honestly didn't hear it at all. I also got a massage while I was there, which I felt was very reasonably priced for all that I got. Would recommend.

They have a great selection of restaurants that all have something different to offer. The drinks are delicious with a varied selection. The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. When the bus from the airport drove closer to the resort, it look regular, yet once we entered, the glory and reputation appeared immediately. This resort is clearly maintained absolutely great. The service, the crew, the smile on any crew member face and warm greetings whenever you meet a crew member in the corridors or the restaurants. The water park is great for any age, my kids enjoyed it a lot. It is also remarkable fun for adult, and you can spend your time there with an endless smile on your face. There was one thing, that as much as it astonished us, we found ways to enjoy it but with a slight bitterness. We did not understand, how days after days, those in charged of the fruit suppliers, can't realize the fruits are not tasty as it should. We also live in a Mediterranean country with a similar climate, yet we know how to choose the tasty fruits, and is clearly understood that we expect a well known hotel representative, who is in charge of the fruit supply, to make sure the hotel and its guests received the finest fruit. There is a variety of food dishes for the guests. Everyone can find what he likes. Thanks Creta Maris Resort for your hospitality

Reception staff was very professional and cooperative, food was good but not the greatest as expected at many all inclusive resorts. Housekeeping was the only negative experience we encountered, which can improve a lot. The beach is ok, but you should visit other beaches in the island if you would like to see nice ones.

The resort is huge although everything is of an easy-access. The structure is amazingly kept, constantly cleaned and the gardens are colorful and well-designed. Tailored for families with babies/kids/teens, many activities for them. Swimming pools are never crowded and same goes for the multiple restaurants offering thematic and very tasty food menus. The staff makes very much the difference, always kind, smiley, professional and willing to accommodate any request. This resort is perfect if you want to regenerate and been treated with courtesy. Amazing and tranquil place to stay! The amenities were unlimited, the food options were decadent, and the spa is a MUST visit. The staff was extremely accommodating in assisting with dinner reservations, recommendations, and planning out our stay. We went diving near by and visited the spa for an amazing couples facial and massage. We planned our visit in May of 2023 and only experienced one rainy day, but it was quick and we were down at the beach by the afternoon! The location isn't far drive from Heraklion and the staff helps to coordinate a driver to and from at a great price. A must stay if you're in Crete!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had an incredible time. It was super relaxing and the staff was so attentive and kind. I have a gluten intolerance and they were super accommodating and caring about this, offering me an alternate menu that made slight modifications to the original menu. I highly recommend that if you are staying here you make reservations for the restaurants for dinner. These were truly the highlight of our stay. The white was just an out of this world experience for all the senses, the Asian restaurant had incredibly fresh food and was so delicious and the lobsteria with its set menu was also such an amazing experience with great food right next to the ocean. The buffet was also incredible, one of the best with really fresh and high quality food, though I truly prefer the restaurants. The beach was also gorgeous and they offered various water sports and the pool relaxing. There are various bars everywhere that make you any drink you want as well as dessert places. Additionally they treated us extra especial when we said we were in our honeymoon which was just wonderful. Truly a magical stay. Though if you are staying here to discover the island of Crete I would not recommend this place. This is a hotel you stay at to enjoy everything it has to offer you and to be pampered by the incredible staff. I would also add that there are a lot of children and families (which we did not mind at all) so it is super family friendly with activities for everyone.

It's a nice hotel for adults that are seeking a pool vacation - the pools are nice with animation and music. Service is great, rooms are clean and nice (although air conditioning cannot be programmed to temp, only to speed...), the hotel is not wide spread at all, hence not much green. The beach is very small and thin, nor inviting at all, but the pools make up for it - there is even a sun protected pool for small kids (however right next to the pool with music and animation...). The kids club is a small tent with no visible toys or kids decoration, not inspiring or inviting. Overall, if you're after good service, food and pools, that's great. For beach and family, there might be better options.

What amazing experience we had here at the Grecotel! The atmosphere is magic, the Team is outstanding, every single people from cleaning to servicing, to management over the top! The kindness of all Team give the opportunity to anyone to enjoy every single moment. We have spent two weeks I wished to have booked a month over here! Just to give you a sense of level of this Resort. I got a nanny in the resort from the Team to dine at the only Adult restaurant. I loved a wine and after I finish the dinner and I found a bottle in my room. The care is over the moon! This is the Place for anyone, family, young couples, older people anyone literally anyone! An Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience I’m not even sure where to begin or how to express just how incredible our stay at Minos Beach Art Hotel was. My husband and I spent three nights here for our honeymoon, and we were so sad to leave—we only wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is absolutely stunning, managing to be both intimate and romantic at the same time. Our room was charming and beautifully designed, and the beach was wonderful—a serene, relaxing retreat. The layout of the beach area, with only a few spots available in each location, made it feel private and peaceful, allowing us to truly unwind in comfort. The food at all the restaurants was absolutely delicious, leaving us craving more after every meal. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the service was outstanding. My husband and I can’t wait to return and share this experience with our family and friends. However, we were a bit disappointed with the spa. While the staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we received VIP treatment, the massage itself was mediocre—especially considering the high price tag. We expected something exceptional to match the rest of the hotel experience. Despite this minor letdown, our time at Minos Beach Art Hotel was nothing short of amazing, and we can’t wait to come back.

We spent over a week at Minos Beach in August 2024 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breathtaking views, easy access to the crystal-clear water, and the serene atmosphere were highlights. We swam daily and highly recommend the nearby water sports and diving center. We rented a boat from them a couple of times to explore the island, which was an unforgettable experience. Snorkeling around Minos Beach was fantastic, and we saw a variety of colorful fish. The hotel's thoughtful creation of a reef right next to the property, complete with underwater art installations, was a unique and enjoyable feature. On my birthday, the hotel staff surprised me with a cake and a cheerful rendition of "Happy Birthday." We've traveled extensively and celebrated special occasions at many hotels, but Minos Beach was exceptional in remembering and acknowledging our special day. We're already looking forward to returning next summer. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Stayed in the Presidential 1 bedroom villa for 3 nights ! Amazing time .. we took a helicopter from Mykonos so we were able to land right at the resorts helipad . They left us a bunch of wine , fruits , cakes and food in our villa waiting for us ! The hidden gem of this suite was the walkway down to a private jetty right on the sea ! Amazing little spot ! We also took out the resorts yacht for a day sail where I proposed to my girlfriend ! They set it up beautifully! 10/10 for style and service ! We did not visit the hotels pool since we had our own private pool and sea access but everything looked beautiful!

It is definitely one of the most beautiful hotel in the entire world. The view is just amazing and the hotel is superb. The spa is great and you have and exceptional view of the sea from the restaurant . There is also a huge golf course and a lot of activities like jet ski and boat trip. All the staff are extremely kind and respond to any request immediately. I highly recommend and I hope to be back there soon!

We were most disappointed in our first three days' stay. 1. They had a large wedding the day we checked in, the music -was very loud and lasted until 12:10 am the party lasted until well after 1: 30 am. Our ~$1,000 plus a night presidential suite, room #3050 was close to the wedding so no sleep. I called and they said the music was to stop at midnight, the party yelling/screaming lasted past 1:30 am. 2. Room service. We ordered an omelet and other cold items on day one. The fruit plate was not eatable, the fruit was so hard we could not eat it, and the omelet was cold. Breakfast to me is a sign of the food to come and it was terrible. We ate at 6 different local restaurants all gave fruit at the end of the meal; it was local and delicious. 3. We had no body wash soap in our bathroom; the container was empty and took two days to refill. 4. The 2 sunbeds had worn cushions and one at the base had a large piece of granite unattached that I almost cut my leg on. 5. We requested two chaise longues vs. a day bed as flat and had no headrest, very uncomfortable, it took 2 days to get as well as 2 days to get an umbrella. 6. No cotton swabs in the bathroom. 7. No corkscrew in the room? I had to call. The person who brought it intimated they do not provide it unless asked as they want you to buy wine from them, we bought several bottles at the local store at a 1/3 of the price and it's our room so why pay $65 when you can drink wine in your room for $20! 8. Our lovely pool was dirty and had not been cleaned before our arrival. A large piece of trash and other dirt was floating on it. 9. You only get 4 bottles of water daily, each about 16 oz. rest are billable. At the Electra, we got over 2 quarts a day in a paper carton for free in Athens. 10. The surrounding landscaping had no mulch, was full of weeds and our planter box next to the pool was full of red dirt. The doormat out front had debris all around it. I requested to speak with the manager Sunday and we did, he was shocked to see the granite piece as well as no body wash, the poor room service (food), and the above other items. He was not working the day of the wedding and seemed surprised it lasted well after midnight. He gave us two free massages and sent a bottle of wine to the restaurant we ate at that pm. We never ate at the onsite restaurants as the guest I spoke to said the onsite restaurants were marginal and overpriced. The resort wants you to eat here for all meals. with so many quality places within a short 8-10 min. cab ride why eat here? The room was lovely, spacious, and well-appointed. What would expect for $1,000 a day. Great location, lots of water sports, and nice staff but the above list is not what you expect at this price point, and is a so-called 5-star resort.

The place is magic and our happy place. The rooms are spacious, you have you own pool and the views are simply spectacular. The areal is huge and it’s not crowded. The beds are comfortable and you can choose the cushions you feel most comfortable with. The food is simply delicious and you can drink cocktails even in the pool, if you like to. But the real gems are the people. You always feel welcomed, feels the warmth and passion. And that the highest value of this place. If you have the chance to go there do not hesitate, you are going to love it.

wow wow After 5 days at the hotel, we definitely found the resort for our annual vacation. A hotel where every detail was taken care of, from the rooms, the pool, the amazing beach, the excellent food, and the small details. Oh and how did I forget the kindergarten where my daughter enjoyed the facilities. In general, there was an amazing synchronization between all the employees, because they always knew where we were from and what we needed. I would like to thank the hotel management for helping us on the last day to pass the hours until the night flight. We were with our 10-month-old baby and it's not easy, so I'm grateful for this help. We will of course return for a vacation that will recreate all the fun and endless pampering. Highly recommend

The facility is truly a dream, and the food is excellent as well. We opted for full board, which means only one drink is included with breakfast and lunch. The on-site prices are outrageous: €9 for a scoop of ice cream, €7 for a cappuccino, and €14 for a non-alcoholic smoothie. There's no beach bag in the room, which I've come to expect from good star hotels. There are also no small cotton pads or nail files in the bathroom, which are minor inconveniences. We vacationed with our young child, expecting to use the games room mentioned on the website and brought little toys accordingly. Unfortunately, we can't use them on-site because we'd have to leave our kids at the daycare center and can't stay with them. The "public" area for kids is in direct sunlight with no shade whatsoever. Surprisingly, there are a lot of people with small children here, which even surprised us, as the hotel isn't very family-friendly equipped. For example, we brought our stroller and have to climb numerous stairs to get to the room. The beach is only accessible via numerous steps as well. If we were a couple vacationing without kids, we would be very disappointed because there's hardly any peace due to numerous kids running around everywhere. Since there are quite a few Germans at the hotel, it might be a good idea to offer dining cards with descriptions in German, as while we speak good English, we're not familiar with food-specific terms.

Our holiday at Daios Cove was outstanding. This 5/6* hotel was breathtaking. Incredible sea views, food and bonus spa and health club, all immaculate. We really enjoyed our time and will be returning at the nearest opportunity. A special thanks to Cyril, the manager who made our trip truly exceptional.

The positives: Beautiful location and the design/architecture is world class. Great views. Super tasty food. Excellent service. True 5 star hotel. The negatives: The beach and pool spaces are inadequate for the number of guests (often ran out of beds in both places). Our room had a pool but with rather cold water. The bed was excruciatingly hard for my back.

For those on a half-board plan, it’s not immediately clear which restaurants are included. If you want to try a different dining option, like the Pangea buffet, you can expect a discount. There are also multiple breakfast options available, and if you opt for an all-inclusive package with a suite, all dining venues are accessible. However, the prices can be quite steep, with items like beef tartare on toast costing €32, a Daios Cove croque at €28, and a beef burger also at €28. The private bay and infinity pool are truly beautiful, though the distances to rooms and villas can be long. Thankfully, golf carts are available to help. The rooms are exceptionally clean, and the staff is generally friendly. However, it is quite peculiar that the pool closes strictly at 6 PM, with staff even going so far as to remove swimwear left under umbrellas and ask guests to leave the area. There is also a somewhat rigid policy regarding the sunbeds: each one has a sign informing guests that if a sunbed is occupied but not in use for 20 minutes, the staff will clear it, and belongings can be retrieved from a locker. Despite these quirks, Daios Cove offers a high standard of service and a beautiful setting, making it a memorable place to stay.

Shame about the gym :( The gym opens later than most gyms so you can't go before work. They also stop classes during the summer. I want to exercise every week, not just in the winter! Open early, add classes with instructor.

Excellent view from the hotel especially for breakfast. Staff are super friendly and helpful, we had breakfast included and the selection was excellent. Everything was super clean and the staff couldn’t be more helpful with our requests. Would definitely recommend and come again!

Discovery Dock East

Always good but now even better. This was our fourth time back at the resort and we were glad to see that it's survived the pandemic with many of the existing staff, but they're making improvements! We had villa 408 which now has 40Mb wifi and very comfortable memory foam memory toppers. Of course, the food is still excellent - it's really nicely done authentic Greek food with superb service. If they don't have what you want, just ask and it will be there the next night. Very vegetarian friendly but you need to ask for the veggie moussaka which is excellent (I hope it's made it to the menu now). Breakfast is a great buffet with everything that you need - loads of variety. Grounds are still lovely. Receptionists are even better and more knowledgeable than ever!

An absolutely stunning view of the mountains a great place to relax. The pool is large so it’s never crowded, plus there is a shallow pool for the little ones it’s amazing. The bar service is great they speak English really well and have a good variety of drinks and serve foods such as toasties, crisps and chips. It is an amazing place for a wedding reception with tables ready to be built up for weddings. The inside is so pristine and elegant i would definitely recommend to people staying in Crete.

The Royal Heights Resort impresses with its spectacular view over Malia. The room seemed in good condition, though it was obvious that renovations are needed sooner than later. Staff was always attentive and very friendly, they were trying their best everyday.
