This was our first time in the hotel, going all inclusive and taking the toddler abroad. While it wouldn't have been our choice prior to having the little one we were suitably impressed. The hotel wasn't too big, made us feel in a safe environment and before we knew it our toddler was making friends.
The staff here make the holiday, everything is centred around younger children and the bar, reception, waiting staff cannot do enough for you. The entertainment staff have boundless amounts of energy which they need to keep up with the children's disco every night!
The rooms exceeded our expectations and even included a fridge and microwave. They were cleaned and had towels changed everyday (not sure about bedding) and we had no problem sleeping in the comfortable beds. The only downside of the accommodation was the showers..... they were either freezing or burnt your bum.... but we lived with that.
The location of the hotel is amazing and in our basic room we had stunning mountain rooms. The resort centre is a steady 20 minute walk along the seafront with lovely bars and restaurants if you need to escape the hotel for a while.
In short we cannot wait to book for next year.

We had an amazing time at this hotel with our family. We stayed for 10 nights and were made to feel incredibly welcome by all of the staff. They were very friendly and put so much effort into making sure the children had the best time. Food was amazing with lots of variety and a different theme each night and bar service and drink selection was great. Rooms were clean, spacious and perfect for a family to allow children to stay in a different room to us. Entertainment was great and different each night, kids had a great time at the disco. Pool area was great and there was never an issue with sunbeds although guests were putting towels on from 7am. The hotel was as far north in the town as possible before climbing mountains but it was still only a short walk to the beach and town centre. An amazing holiday that I would recommend to anyone!

Our Hotel Experience: A Mixed Bag of Good and Bad
We always make it a point to read numerous reviews before choosing a hotel, and this time was no different. However, this was the first time our experience didn't quite align with the glowing reviews we read. We're not saying it's a bad hotel, but compared to other hotels we've stayed at in the same price range (we're a family of four), it fell short in some areas.
The Good:
The Staff: The majority of the staff, especially those at the reception and the restaurant, were exceptionally friendly. They were wonderful with kids, always smiling, and created a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A special thanks to Paul (The Spanish Terry Crews), Loli, Angy,… for the outstanding service.
The Bar Staff: they were very fast but unfortunately, the service at the bar could have been better, particularly from Mr. Grumpy with the grey curly hair. Everyone needs to sheer up there.
The Food: While the buffet was small, the quality of the food was good. We were pleasantly surprised to find smoked salmon and fresh avocado every morning, something even more expensive hotels didn’t offer. The themed dinners were a nice touch (Indian, Asian, etc.), although the BBQ evening was a bit disappointing as the meat was burnt. The coffee, however, left much to be desired.
The Location: The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Pollenca port, a beautiful area with nice, albeit pricey, restaurants. We also found a store nearby with more affordable, delicious cocktails and tapas (the mussels were excellent).
The Bad:
Maintenance Issues: Many things around the hotel were worn, damaged, or simply not clean. Half of the sunbeds were stained with dirt, and when an ice cream was spilled by the pool in the morning, it wasn't cleaned up until the evening. By 8 AM, 80% of the sunbeds were already reserved with towels. The elevator mirror was cracked and temporarily fixed with duct tape. Additionally, several tiles around the pool were either loose or cracked.
Beverage Quality: Drinks were served in plastic cups until the evening because there was only a pool bar available. The cocktails were disappointing, with none of them tasting as they should. The wine and cava were decent, and the beer was okay, but the overall drink experience was underwhelming.
Dining Area: The tables in the restaurant were too small for a family of four, making meals a bit cramped.
Pool and Safety Concerns: There was only one lifeguard for three pools, and they weren't stationed near the children's pools. While the kids' pools were sufficient for our 3 and 6-year-olds, they were in need of a fresh coat of paint.
Room Concerns: The family rooms were spacious, but the metal bed frames squeaked with every movement, making for a restless night. Although we reported this to the reception, no one came to fix it. We had to improvise by placing a few pillows under the mattress. Additionally, the sliding door between the two rooms couldn’t be locked, and the frosted glass on the toilet was open at the ceiling, compromising privacy. The poolside toilets were not cleaned during the day, which led to them becoming dirty.
The Entertainment: We attended one mini disco, which turned out to be a delightful evening. The animation team was fantastic, offering a variety of fun activities for the kids.
Conclusion:
If the issues mentioned above aren't deal-breakers for you, you’ll likely still have a good time. However, these critical notes are based on our experiences and comparisons to other hotels in the same price range and class.

Had an excellent family holiday at Playa Mar and Spa in late March/early April. Excellent value for money. The staff are brilliant with kids. The hotel is immaculately clean. The food is great. The kids loved the activities. We especially enjoyed the quietness of the hotel (we did go early in the year though so it might not always be so calm). The spa facilities are great, although the gym could use some investment, not much equipment for weight lifting.

Stayed here in July 2024. Very nice hotel resort, great pool, kids activities and general vibes around the hotel.
The food buffet does get a bit repetitive, but that’s the same with all resorts, so we ended up eating out locally a few times and there are options nearby or a short drive away if you fancy Pollença.
