Santa Eulalia is the cosmopolitan hub of Ibiza and holidays here are based around the idea of ‘me time.’ Everything here is relaxed, from the gorgeous beaches to the delicious restaurants and boutique shops. This is all topped off with beautiful surroundings, including Ibiza’s only river!
The main part of Santa Eulalia is the Paseo. The Paseo is a boulevard lined with beautiful palm trees that runs through the centre of the resort. Most holidays in Santa Eulalia revolve around the Paseo, as this is where the majority of the hotels are located, along with a selection of the bars and restaurants.
The picturesque marina and rustic town square make up the old town. The marina is full of spectacular boats and yachts as well as the designer boutiques and world class restaurants.
With the traditional old town, pine topped hills, exciting harbour and two stunning beaches, it is no surprise that holidays to Santa Eulalia are so popular with families and couples looking for relaxation and fun in the sun!
Whatever time of year you plan to visit, you can expect pleasant temperatures. Here’s a typical year’s weather:
Santa Eulalia has a reputation for being more laidback than a lot of Ibiza. There are no super clubs or world famous DJs here. Instead, tourists flock for the laid back ambience and opportunity to relax and unwind.
This area also offers its visitors a selection of cultural activities, from local art galleries to the living history of the old town and street markets, there is a slice of the Balearic life for everyone.
As well as the cultural scene, the gastronomic scene is also thriving in Santa Eulalia. The small resort features some of the best traditional and seafood restaurants in the whole of Spain.
Shoppers will also be well taken care of. The streets are lined with designer boutiques, rustic market stalls and souvenir and craft shops, perfect for wiling away an afternoon souvenir shopping or indulging in retail therapy.
The nightlife is a rather quiet affair in Santa Eulalia. Most of the entertainment is family friendly and provided by the hotels themselves. There is a smaller nightclub in Santa Eulalia that is nowhere near the size of the super clubs of Ibiza Town but offers those looking for a later night the option to do so.
The beautiful scenery around Santa Eulalia makes the perfect surroundings for taking a nice relaxing walk along the coastline. One such trail is the ‘Mariner’s Walk’, which takes you along the coast, over the Roman bridge that spans Ibiza’s only river and on into the picturesque village of Siesta. If relaxing under the sun is your main intention, then Santa Eulalia holidays will not disappoint. The broad, white sand beach with the gentle, azure waters of the Mediterranean is ideal for stretching out to top up your tan. The beach is also the starting point for a whole host of watersports such as jetskiing, parasailing, windsurfing and diving amongst others. There are also many boat trips to enjoy including glass bottom boat tours and fun filled banana boat rides.
The Santa Eulalia beach is a great place to relax and take part in watersports. The crystal clear waters make for great snorkelling and diving spots and the Mediterranean weather allows for a lot of water based fun, such as jetskiing, windsurfing and banana boating.
