I liked this place, clean, great service, great breakfast, pretty quiet. You can exchange currency right in the hotel.
About location. If you go to the hotel on a public transport, be ready to climb with a lot of steps up to the hill to enter the hotel. It is one time thing, because after check in you will be able to use elevator and skip the steps.
Inner pool is kinda small.

The hotel itself is a small labyrinth, very confusing by having about 5-7 lifts going to different locations but you getting use to it after few days staying. It had together with the rooms good advertising where to go to see things and where to eat. Getting a bit of discounts.
The best part was the hotel staff and service. They been very helpful, attentive and polite. We had an issue with air conditioning, which on the moment couldn’t be solved. We got blankets and portable radiator in 10min of the call to the reception. But for 3 night stay it hasn’t been fixed. And the view from the balcony was great!
I would really recommend the bar named Cave on the happy a hour!
The food was average, just because it had almost every time same food. We even payed for a buffet for a Chocolate night 30€ each and it was really not worth it. Because the only thing was available with chocolate is a bawl of it next to the puddings.

The Hotel "Pergola" is a wonderful place for vocation. The staff is very friendly, hospitable, always smiling. Special thanks to Madam Doreen, Madam Dhanchhi and the chefs who prepared such delicious food! Many thanks to Cleaning-Team who do their job perfectly, wonderful staff! Very convenient location of the hotel from bus stops.
Kind regards

We had a lovely time in April. I upgraded directly with the hotel to a sea view before going. I am so glad we did.
The staff are lovely, location great. You definitely need to study the floor plan of the hotel as it isn't straightforward. We fell in love with mellieha.

Please do not ask for an upgrade, feeling disappointed and unsettled that on the first day of arriving, I asked for an upgrade as we were celebrating a birthday and anniversary… not only was I charged extra but the saddest part was she gave me the same room they originally had reserved for me and my family!
The head receptionist didn’t realise that the room she lied about upgrading had a note saying welcome and happy birthday in the room along with an anniversary message and a special request which I made before arriving. Times are hard around the world but when the receptionist lies after a long trip and charges you extra and point blank lies… the experience has gone on what was meant to be a memorable holiday. So to the receptionist, I will continue to smile and be polite but you need to have a good look at yourself and reevaluate your behaviour.
