I’ve had a fantastic experience at this gorgeous resort. Their hospitality is absolutely amazing with the most friendliest staff I’ve ever come across. I simply can’t falter anything. Great location with less than 30 minutes drive from Rhodes airport Ambient is just incredible. Food is always fresh and delicious with lots of choices. I will 100% most definitely return to Leonardo Kolymbia Resort. You are the best by far.

We just got home from a week at Leonardo & had the best family holiday. I’m a bit hesitant booking all inclusive stays because we’ve not always had the best experiences in the past especially with the food, but after lots of research I booked the Leonardo & so glad I did. Firstly the staff are amazing, I can see why they are so highly praised in the reviews. We got upgraded to a suite & the room was lovely, the hotel is exceptionally clean in all its areas. The animation team were our favourite, Antonio, Nicole & the rest of the group were so amazing with the kids. My daughter loved Nicole & said she was her favourite person, she was very sad to go home after having the best time. The food was really good, I’m shocked to see the latest review saying it was not good because it really was! Everyday they have great selections & change things up. The fresh fish, Stifado, all of it was so tasty! They clearly put a lot of thought & time into it. I guess you can’t please everyone sadly! But we personally found it very good. The beach is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel & is stunning, beautiful clear blue waters full of fish & even saw a sting ray. We would have mornings by the pool then go down to the beach mid afternoon, we miss the place already & said we would definitely come back because we had such a wonderful time. Thank you to the whole team at Leonardo for giving us the best family holiday!

We had a great experience to stay with my husband and son for 1 night for our anniversary. We are from Rhodes, and came to the hotel for a change. Everything was perfect, the stuff are so welcoming and helpful, the made a lot of surprises for us. The territory is green and quite big. The evening show was so impressive - the hotel have invited acrobats, they were so cool! It was a pity to leave the hotel, we were ready to stay more.

Would highly recommend this place as it definitely has earned its 5* rating. The pool is very clean and tidy and not too overcrowded and the rooms have everything you would need. But the best part of the hotel is the staff, every member of staff was friendly and welcoming and always happy to help. The bartenders George and Saki are very skilled at their jobs and helped create a memorable stay!

A 3 star hotel. Whoever awarded 5 stars must have been feeling extremely generous!
We have stayed in many 5 star hotels across Europe and this was far below the standards expected. The hotels website promises bathrobes and slippers in the rooms - non existent in ours, furniture looked tired and dated, pillows were hard, the mattresses were so uncomfortable that even almost a week after returning, my back still hurts!
From our room we had a view of the hotels volleyball courts which had broken fencing around them, allowing cats to come in to use the sand as a toilet - yuck!
Pool bar - stale hot dogs, stale burgers, stale chips, the worst “Aperol” spritz I’ve ever tasted…I understand that it’s local brands on all inclusive, so don’t call it Aperol spritz on your menu because it’s not Aperol - the only resemblance is the colour, it tasted horrible!
Bar service - George was on his own most of the time and sadly this reflected in the cocktails, quickly made and lacking in quality as he was under a lot of pressure. It’s probably the nicest looking part of the hotel and where people spend a lot of time - get him some help! Something else about the bar itself - around it is an unpleasant dirty bar smell.
Now for the restaurant - this place resembles a canteen, bright lights, trollies of dirty dishes banging around and at breakfast the “fresh” orange juice being poured into the cooling machine from what looked like old cooking oil bottles. The standard of the food is OK, it’s nothing special, but there’s always something edible. On our first evening we noticed that the only wines available were on tap and they weren’t great, so we asked if we could buy some wine from the wine list. Being given this wine list was as close to a decent wine as we got in the restaurant, because nobody bothered to take our order! We didn’t ask again…
Pool area - nice enough pool which was fine for swimming even at the end of April. Sunbeds however - they’re so low it’s like being on floor level, and the stains on many of the cushions just look awful. Perhaps a bad decision to choose white as a colour for them.
I guess the hotels response to my review will be along the lines of “you didn’t raise this during your stay and give us the opportunity to rectify…”
Well, this is supposedly a 5 star hotel so in my opinion the hotels opportunity to get things right is before the guests arrive, and at no point should the guests have to raise even the slightest issue. For us, there were so many things contradicting 5 star standards that we realised this would be a waste of so much of our time, and after a day or two, we chose to spend most of our time on Rhodes well away from the hotel.
