Very good hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is close by, bus stop outside if public transport is needed. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious (double room with sea/garden view). Parking is available. Variety of good food available at breakfast/dinner.
Would recommend!

This hotel is advertised as a 4 star family resort hotel.
We booked for 5 nights as a family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 children ) end of April 2024.
The price was attractive and based on public photos and reviews we booked in full confidence that we will have a lovely short vacation.
First I will state the positives:
- this is a large hotel in a beautiful setting along the coast and close to Rhodos town.
- it has nice views of the see from most rooms on the seaside.
- the outside looks well and the gardens and pool area are beautiful and nicely maintained
- the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can see they want to make you feel welcomed
However the positives of our experience end here. Our family room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. We found trash under 1 bed and shattered glass on the floor. Also upon looking in more detail it was obvious that the maintenance of the room was also heavily lacking: the whole bathroom area was worn out and outdated and, after the first impression regarding the trash, one can only wonder if the bed sheets were properly cleaned or if the towels were so.
We complained at the reception and someone was sent to our room for cleaning. Even after that, there were still elements which were not properly cleaned anyway. The front office staff apologized and proposed some solution for upgrading the room on the first available date and also some gratuities over lunch, but after spending 2 nights we decided that we will leave.
We felt that this hotels’ presentation is missleading as it shows pictures with nicely furnished rooms while the reality of the status of the facilities is different. Most amenities are worn-out and outdated ( especially the passageways, the elevators, the doors and the bathroom facilities ) and incapable of providing the comfort required by a 4 star accommodation. The level of noise throughout the hotel is very high and especially during late evening and early morning it is impossible to rest in the room because of constant noises from the hallways due to lack of soundproofing.
One last word about the food. We were booked including half-board and we tried both the breakfast and the dinner service. Again, the staff was the only real positive. The food was bland for our taste with nothing special- just canteen quality all-around.
All of the above might be ok for a 3 star hotel on a limited budget, but from our point of view it is really low value for money for a 4 star hotel, even though the price is lower than other 4 star hotels.

Booked Kresten Palace via Secret Escapes for 3 nights and it was very cheap which was it's saving grace.
Before I get in to the nitty gritty of it's issues I'd like to mention that the cocktail bar is superb, nicely outfitted, nicely decorated and the staff and drinks are amazing. They have some signature cocktails there and upon trying all of them there's not one I didn't like so bravo.
Finding the hotel is really easy, but something could be said for the parking as during peak season I can see this being a nightmare, we were barely able to find spaces of an evening at the end of April.
The reception staff were nice and friendly and made checking in really easy.
The room was good for the most part, the air conditioner worked well, the beds and sheets were comfy and the view from the balcony was scenic (Despite having little privacy from the neighbors), for the price and the time we stayed, these were big positives. The wifi is a paid extra so beware if going for long periods of time.
However, upon arriving in the room we made note of dust all over the top of the headboard and on all of the lamps.
There was also an exposed piece of rusty metal behind the bathroom door when we arrived which, given their due, was rectified as soon as it was mentioned to staff by sawing it off/filing it down. Not the prettiest of rectifications but it did the job!
This however was also followed by one of our bedside lamps dying which was mentioned at the same time and left unfixed, the day after my lamp also died so both bedside lamps were dead.
They also provide a kettle and mugs without providing any tea/coffee/sugar which we found odd.
The buffet was, well, the buffet. Food was available and edible but the quality was not where I'd think it should be for a four star resort, the majority of it was bland and the meat was dry and tough.
Upon asking for a spoon from one of the waiting staff I was greeted with a finger pointed at me and a sharp "wait" as they walked off never to be responded to again.
The hotel beach which is noted is also not what you'd expect it to be; rocky, messy, littered area with some sunbeds dotted 50 meters from the beach. The nice beach however is reserved for their more paying customers at the kresten royal, a lovely pebble beach with sunbeds aplenty. The customers of the standard kresten palace are however blocked off from this by a fence and rocks (Unless you walk down the coast and access it anyway)
Despite its issues it's a cheap and cheerful hotel with good scenery, a nice pool area and an amazing cocktail bar.
There just happens to be a lot that could be worked on.

the place itself is lovely to relax and chill out however when it comes to dinner buffet the food is almost the same every night and seems to get worse and worse if u don’t eat Greek food or a picky eater like me there’s not other options apart from pasta and chips and obviously if u stay for a long time u will start to get fed up with it. in my personal opinion if u are a picky eater I wouldn’t recommend the dinner buffet. the breakfast and lunch food are amazing I’m shocked how dinner could get so bad.

Very friendly staff, variety of accommodation, clean and spacious. Several pools, all freezing. Mini club and activities. Next to beach, great for snorkelling. No drinks included for half board, not sure for all-inc.
