The best hotel I’ve stayed in! The beautiful setting directly on the beach close to everything. Perfect location! The rooms are gorgeous ! What is even better is the breakfast, there is so much choice. Almost overwhelmingly so. Great quality food. The facilities around the hotel are great also , with a gorgeous pool area and access to the rooftop blue marlin lounge. However the service here is what makes the hotel ! The staff are so attentive and friendly, you feel so looked after. Will definitely be back

Wonderful stay here! Lovely beachfront hotel with all the luxury and comfort you can hope for. The rooms are stunning and every attention to detail has been met! Hotel and staff did a great job making sure guests feel welcome and comfortable during their stay. Exceeded my expectations. And the rooftop restaurant and dining experiences most definitely satisfied my tastebuds. Great customer service!!! And I’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels being a travel agency owner and I know taste and luxury when I see it!

We had a lovely 6 day stay at Hotel Faro - throughout the staff were brilliant and attentive. The pool is a fantastic facility. It's a short walk to local facilities and the bus stop. On site facilities excellent inc gym. Rooms spacious and well equipped. Would stay again if visiting Gran Canaria.

I recently stayed at Hotel Fato in Maspalomas and thought I'd share my take. Chose it for being adults-only and loved that it wasn't as massive as other hotels around. The contemporary design really hits the mark, and my superior room was just lush. Catching the sunrise from my balcony, with a side view of the sea that also captured the beach and dunes, was a daily treat.
Happy to have been on the 5th floor for the views and to be away from the ground floor restaurants, which had a bit of a grilled fish scent going on. The trade-off was being right below the rooftop, where the music was on full blast all day – thank goodness for earplugs.
The pool area was spot on, beds comfy, though the pool could've been a tad warmer. Big shoutout to the pool and breakfast staff – absolute stars, they were. Breakfast was decent, yet I craved more variety and a nod to local Canarian and Spanish bites, especially the cured meats. Poolside fare leaned too much on the international side for me.
Loved the easy beach access, but missing were hotel sunbeds and umbrellas. There's no spa on-site, but you can use the facilities at a sister hotel, which I found a tad cumbersome to book. The rooftop had potential, but the relentless wind and loud music put me off. Still, finding solace on the lobby terrace on windier days was a plus.
The in-room shower products were a nice touch, with options to request fancier brands. The courtesy room post-checkout was a thoughtful perk, though it could've been cleaner. A letdown was the lack of complimentary water in the rooms or water fountains in the hotel, pushing you towards paid options or supermarket plastic bottles.
Parking was a bit unclear, leading me to opt for the Oasis multi-storey at £12 a day. I gave the buffet dinner a miss since it's not my scene, limiting my on-site dinner choices. The beach-level Boho restaurant didn't appeal much due to its mixed reviews and lack of patrons.
Overall, despite a few niggles, my stay at Hotel Fato was pretty solid. Would I come back? Yeah, I reckon I would!
