Lovely hotel with a great vistas across the ocean. I won’t add to other comments about the excellence of the rooms and surroundings but I’d highlight the housecleaning team for praise.
Unusually for us we stayed half board (some lovely snacks and pintxos are available during the day to stave off any hunger pangs). It may be because it is low season, but there was no buffet but waiter service. The servers displayed pleasant enthusiasm rather than skill. The food in general was pretty good though there were some basic errors. For example a delightfully cooked half of fish on the bone was served with smeared in an opaque sauce, not an eating challenge to be enjoyed.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. This place is truly magical. From the beautiful buildings and grounds, to the beautifully comfortable rooms, and the amazing staff, this place had it all. I wish we could have stayed for a month. The pool area was so relaxing and calm, the spa was well appointed, and the live music on the patio was wonderful. Every one of the staff was so friendly and wonderful to us.

My stay at Melía Hotel, while nestled in a picturesque setting and boasting of a junior suite, left me with mixed feelings, especially given the expectations associated with its stellar reputation and high costs.
Room & Accommodation:
Our junior suite was aesthetically pleasing with comfortable furnishings and a promising ambiance. However, the upkeep of the room didn’t quite meet the mark of a 5-star establishment. Notably, the mini-bar was seldom restocked, which was an inconvenience. Additionally, several minor maintenance issues were overlooked, such as a misaligned water faucet and a rusty bin in the bathroom. These small details, though minor, significantly detract from the luxury experience expected at such a prestigious hotel.
Service:
Service inconsistency was a noticeable issue during our stay. The approach towards service appeared outdated, with a noticeable bias in addressing males over females among heterosexual couples—a disappointing touch that felt out of place in the modern hospitality landscape. Additionally, room service was lacking in promptness, with used towels often left uncollected, and replenishments like water at the gym were not adequately stocked during peak evening times.
Dining:
On a positive note, the breakfast served was exceptional with a variety of choices that were both delightful and well-prepared. However, the dinner options were quite limited for vegans, which was a letdown considering the inclusive dining experience expected at luxury hotels. More effort in diversifying meal options to cater to all dietary needs would be much appreciated.
Noise & Internet:
The soundproofing of the rooms was less than ideal. I found myself easily disturbed by noises from the corridor, neighboring rooms, and even the cleaning staff during their rounds. For a hotel of this calibre, better noise isolation is essential. Furthermore, the internet connectivity was poor in the evenings, which could be a significant deterrent for business travelers and tech-savvy guests.
Conclusion
The Melía Hotel undoubtedly has the foundations potential of a top-tier luxury hotel but needs to address several aspects of service and facility management to truly meet the expectations of its guests. Addressing these concerns will not only enhance the comfort but also ensure that all guests feel valued and respected, irrespective of gender dynamics. I hope to see improvements in these areas in future visits, as the core elements for a fantastic stay are already in place.

Absolutely wonderful hotel and had a first class stay here on our honeymoon.
All the staff was so polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
The room was huge with a really useful walk-in dressing area and very nice terrace area with chairs and table.
Pools were lovely with plenty of loungers and chairs available. Food was absolutely superb - the buffet never got tired and there was always something new to try.
Very sad to leave but will definitely make it an aim to return!!

I am absolutely satisfied with this hotel.
It’s adult only and very calm and feels comfortable.
All people in this hotel is nice and friendly even other hotel guests are nice .
-The food : Fantastic buffet. I had a half board during my stay for 6days . The both breakfast and dinner buffet never disappointed me . A lot of kinds of yummy foods hence I cannot give more star as I got fat during my holiday.
-The room : Clean , well-maintained and well-layout.
-The location: If we stay and play golf in this area only, I can give 5 stars .
The hotel located in the north of island and It’s hard to access from the south of island, especially from the airport.
My holiday plan was mostly in the south of island ( I didn’t notice we needed to “Climb “ up the mountain to this hotel from the south) I rented a car during my holiday. It was very dangerous and narrow road to drive through the mountain for tourists.
The only thing I can’t give a star is that the water is not the complimentary during the stay except the first day of arrival.
All of my experience of 5 stars hotel provides the complimentary water every day , however they expensively charge the water from the mini bar.
I recommend getting the water in a supermarket.
