I've now stayed at this property four times and loved it every time. The rooms are comparable to those in other Las Vegas hotels. The bottom line is that no Vegas resort wants you staying in the rooms - they want you in the casino spending money. Nevertheless, the rooms at MGM grand are quite nice for what they are.
The casino is fun - they have everything from table games to sports betting to penny slots all the way up to $5 slots. There are a lot of cool restaurants and bars right on the property. The pools are fun. And, the conference center is conveniently located.
The MGM Grand is right on the Vegas strip so it's close to everything and it has a dedicated monorail stop.
I would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic location on the south end of the strip within walking distance of a lot of the fun attractions and shows. Great rooms and friendly staff. But why is it that EVERY time I stay at an MGM hotel that we are always charged for something twice or something we didn’t use or buy. This time we were charged for an extra day on our reservation when we paid online and checked out on time. I can’t help but wonder how many millions MGM makes every year by double charging people who don’t check their receipts.

Probably the best deal on the strip. Clean rooms easy access to staff when needed. Online check in/out huge to avoid the extremely long lines at the front desk. Access to strip great parking options and close proximity to other properties make this an easy 5 star review.

this is such a great place to stay. near everywhere you want to go, clean, friendly, helpful staff, highly recommend. the beds were SO comfortable and I was overjoyed.
PRO TIP: get a map at the front desk :)
also, THE LAZY RIVER and the pool are exceptional. if you DO plan on going here, bring your own tube in your suitcase. they are quite expensive at the pool. you can also usually get one from people who are leaving - there were a large amount of abandoned floaties when I closed out the pool.
amenities inside the hotel are expensive, but you are paying for convenience at that point. there are lots of places to find cheaper options if you want to travel. the late night food options are plentiful if you are looking for that sort of thing.
NOTE: the hallways the rooms are in are really long so if you have mobility issues be sure to ask for a mobility friendly room.

We’ve stayed at the MGM for as long as I can remember and the rooms have gone way down hill. For what you pay, they need to be cleaned much better and updated. I moved the chair back a little bit and found food corroded to the carpeting. There were other minor things wrong with the room (pictured). The service and location are both great. No complaints there.
